  • From skytrak to pro-tee build out

Never thought I would do this but I have just updated my skytrak to the protee. I never thought the amount of work it was going to take to do this upgrade but wow I am surprised on the amount of energy and money that has left my wallet and the amount of hours getting this ready for the arrival of the pro-tee, First off I want to give props to Dennis at Pro-tee who spent his weekend online back and forth on emails helping me get the perfect set up and what was necessary to get ready for the new unit. But I wanted to share this and see if anyone has any thoughts for more improvement on getting this ready for tomorrows UPS delivery. Again thank you Dennis you were a great help
    1. super strut frame for side walls and impact screen16x10x10
    2. black out walls and ceiling(ceiling waiting for halogen light install from protee)
    3. 12 x 9 impact screen
    4. view sonic projector pjd 789
    5. new computer system
    6. built up raised floor
    7. SYNlawn golfing turf
    8. touch screen added
    9. protee system
here is the start with the skytrak set up then to the protee in progress

any questions or help is welcome

Thanks so much for sharing this post - I can't believe I didn't see it earlier as I've crawled all over this forum. Anyway, regarding the SynLawn can you share a bit on how you like it? Did you buy it from Lowes? Sorting out the sub-flooring will be a huge move forward for my build out. Many thanks!

do not go to lowes on this as the quality out of lowes is very low end, I thought I put in how I was able to acquire this in that thread but it might be in a different thread somewhere else let me look real quick and I will put a link up well here is how you find it go to search and just put in SYNLAWN in the search box and click it, there are some extra threads on this and how I was able to buy it at a cheap cost I will move over to your thread and complete this post.

Not sure if u ever hit a stray ball into it... but With the black out curtains do they stop a stray ball well? If so, how much space between the curtain and the wall would be needed to not damage the wall?

Nice set up! I may have missed it but what are you using for blackout curtains, and where did you put them? Looked like your original build had black material on at least the two side panels to begin with.

Thanks and yes I have put a few over into my sidewalls i think one last night playing with stingr was a little peppered from a christmas party, i could probably put a wood directly at it with no issues to the sidewall or the bounce back, the sidewall are exactly the same as original pics i have not touched those since first installing

How much space do u have between the side curtain and wall? Anything weighing the bottom of the curtain down?
