Thanks! It is a 9oz Supertech. Got it on Amazon for around $129. Has 3/4" pvc covered with foam in the top, sides and bottom.

Awesome. Except in this case I was going to his house to build it, lol. Still, makes it easier with 2 people planning, building, etc.

Building a platform around the matt, which will look better and also keep the matt from moving around on the floor. Will post another when the turf is down.

Ball is about 7 or 8 from the screen. The room is much deeper than that, but will be a bar and some other stuff going in there.

Will do. I see myself sneaking over to my dads lots this winter, lol. Will definitely update this post with pics of the full basement when the bar is in. That's the best thing to build. Also have another protector on the back wall for TV, movies, etc.
