Buy Impact Screen Fabric Directly from Mill

As a cost sensitive person attempting to build a high quality simulator, I realized purchasing the correct impact screen is critical to both the simulator's overall performance and it's price tag. It should be affordable, durable, seamless, impact resistant, have minimal bounce back, low noise, and display HD quality images.

West Coast Netting, Par2Pro, Foresight, Carl's Place and others listed in various forum threads all sell screens but none actually manufacture them. Buying second hand increases cost and my goal to buy the highest quality materials at the best possible price can only be accomplished by purchasing direct from the mill that manufacturers the fabric.

After plenty of research I found the mill that's manufacturing the impact screen fabric for Foresight, Carl's Place and others. The mills highest quality impact screen fabric is a heavyweight knit polyester sold only in 120 inch x 40 yard rolls. The raw material costs $56/yard without shipping.

40 yards is clearly too much material for my simulator so I'm looking to get a group of us on the forum to split a roll.

Buying directly from the mill is more than a 1 roll minimum usually. Plus if you don't sew the edges and reinforce the material it won't last as long. Good luck!

Do you need me to prepay for it via PayPal, or Prepay in person? What is the best way to ensure that you get the money and I can pick up the material when it is available? Yes I am but understand saving money on replacing a semi-durable good is important. Another key point is there is no warranty or manufacturer support but I am sure that a raw screen can be replaced a couple times over the price of a finished screen.

Fabric won't be ready until mid to late February. 10 ft wide by 120 ft long. If you want 13 x 13 you will have a seam. PayPal sorry I not sure how to do it..but someone else who has sent payment already can help I'm sure.

Can you remind me what delivered to finisher means? And also price of 10x13. V 10 x10. Space is only 10x10, but like the idea of being able to move horizontally over time.

Thanks DBG..... if I understand correctly the difference between Raw and "Delivered to Finisher" is sewing of the edges... if correct, I will go with Raw and sew myself and /or use tarp clips.

I will be in Georgia Atlanta weekend of 11/12 Feb (fly out eve of 14th). Ok if I see screen and pay then?

Will go for 10 x 15 I think $315?

Delivered to finisher is just delivered to finisher no sewing included. You are correct 15 ft raw is 315 no shipping included. You are welcome to visit I'm not sure material will be in by then though. Eta is mid to late February. If material not in you can see the fabric samples I have. I'm only ordering for those who have paid so if you are sure you want to join I recommend going ahead and sending payment.
