Hey guys. I decided not to go with the off spec stuff. I offered half price but they seemed to have a better market for it. They are back to producing it again. Will check tomorrow updated eta. Sorry taking so long I hope it's worth it. By the time it's ready I will need a new screen already also!

i reviewed the previous pages of posts and it looks like folks mostly just post their desired size (finished). After you complete the order you calculate the cost per linear foot finished and everyone transfers you funds (via pay pal). Delivery is possible as well as local pick up.

i hope I have understood the process, could you just confirm for me please. Is the current order still open? Looking to pick up a screen for my new build house that will be done in May.

Has anyone compared this material to Carl's Premium? Is it essentially the same? Carl's currently has it 30% off - do you guys think it's a coincidence or is this the/our original roll and they are trying to sell it 30% off instead of 50% off and hoping people don't notice? The price is still more than it is here, but if I get it now vs 10 more weeks I might have to pull the trigger bc I bought my skytrak in June and have been eager to stop hitting into a net.

We are always interested in testing new material to see if there are better solutions out there for our customers with budget limitations, specific needs, etc.
I would like to get in on your list to get a 16' x 10' piece - is that possible?

Also, if the testing goes well, we could help you with the buying, cutting and selling if you are interested. Maybe we could find a way to get the cost down for everyone, alleviate some of the workload from your plate and get screens to forum users faster

Just wanted to add because I can sense some frustration or anticipation.

I got at 17 x 10 screen on the first order. I am still hitting on it daily and it is showing no sign of wear. As a golf screen, I believe it's the best I've hit on and I've had a couple. It is durable, and the weave is so tight that the screen image is superb. As a movie screen, I get a picture perfect viewing with my Optima 1080. I am very, very happy with the screen.

As far as dbgolf, he came through on the first order. I think we all went through a learning process on dealing with foreign manufacturer. I am in the printing business and when dealing with mills (paper or screens) you quickly find you are at their mercy as far as production. The machine turnover and setup is very expensive and they run the product on their timetable.

I say all that to try and reassure you new guys that it is well worth the wait. In fact, you will note how many of us originals are getting in on this order as well. The screen and value is that good. I may not need my screen for a couple of years, but it is worth getting it now and putting in on the shelf. The product is that good.

Anyway, rest assured, the wait will be justified.

Thanks for the update on wear. As far as the picture quality goes, any idea how image quality compares to dedicated movie projector screen (even a low-mid range one), or is it just superb compared to other impact screens (which can be notoriously bad)?
