I have searched and searched and have not found a review of this mat. It seems ideal for using with the net return net, but is it any good as a hitting mat? Does it bounce your club into the ball? Is it durable? When using it as a putting green does it roll close to a real putting green? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I bought that mat. I won't dog it, it's good for what is. I have seen no difference in distances from it to the CCE mat that I now hit off of. I quickly realized though that it isn't sustainable for hard long term use. I play everyday so that is relative. Turning and using 4 corners with a Skytrak isn't sustainable either.
So, I incorporated a 10" x 30" CCE strip into my Net Return mat and it's a dream. This takes some work though. True 1-1/8" thk plywood with a cutout matches up perfectly with the height. At $35 a strip, the CCE is a great solution. I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow.

I own it as well and wouldnt recommend using it as a hitting mat. Its thin and think it would likely cause injuries. Spend a few hundred on a good hitting mat. CCE, Divotaction, or fiberbuilt are all popular choices, or just add an insert as Gary suggests. I use my net return mat to fill out my room floor.Last edited by BadEddieKit; 05-08-2017, 03:33 AM.

Is the cce 1-1/8" thicker or thinner? I'm assuming thicker. I think plywood comes in 4x8 sheets so a 6x10 mat doesn't exactly work out in a simple manner, not to mention the challenge of moving the mat out of the way when not in use. Curious to get your thoughts on these potential problems.Originally posted by GarySatterwhite View PostI bought that mat. I won't dog it, it's good for what is. Yes, the CCE is approx. 1.125" thicker than the Net Return mat. You will need to make 3 sections if you want to use all of your Net Return mat. I can't remember exactly but I believe my hitting section is 6' x 40". This makes a great stance mat with CCE strip set in. It's very heavy if you can imagine, but still moveable. Actually more moveable than that 6 x 10 Net Return mat. I haven't made my 2nd and 3rd sections yet as I haven't really missed them. I glued a 1/4" backing to my plywood to create a landing for the CCE strip. The CCE strip is not glued down as the cutout is very snug. If/when my strip gets worn then I can replace it.
I wanted to add that the CCE as a stance mat wouldn't be very good in my opinion. It's very mushy. The thin Net Return is great as a stance mat.Last edited by DirtyGarry24; 05-08-2017, 01:21 PM.
