Like most newbies on here, I have lurked for months and used these forums as my one stop shop for all research and ideas. I cant thank everyone enough for all the post on their lessons learned and advice. That being said, I have ordered the 5x5 CCE, putting green and fringe from JR Mats and I was wondering if anyone on the forums has put down carpet padding underneath their putting area and fringe?
My reason for thinking about the carpet padding were two fold. The first was that the padding would provide some moisture protection from my basement slab and hopefully extend the look/life of the turf. The second was that the padding would also make the putting area and fringe more comfortable to walk on.
The only real negative, besides minimal costs, was that the padding could effect the putting green somehow and the way putts roll
Has anyone here added the padding or did you just glue the turf straight onto the slab? I added the PDF just for reference. Simulator.pdf
Thanks again!
