Wrists and able for me. Please note that this was due to me hitting off of my putting surface due to some changes I was making to my set-up. The surface is great for putting and runs around a 9 according to my TM, but is hell on the body.

Elbows is where I felt it most using the CCE. Recently made move to FB. Big difference. No pain. Got the hitting panel and made a platform for it - https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...berbuilt-panel

Primarily the lead elbow for me. However, as a beginning golfer my pain is almost always the result of a poor strike (way too fat). Now that I hit fewer of those shots, it's less of an issue. On a fat shot, if the mat grabs the club head, it seems to really crank my lead elbow. In my experience, turf "grabbyness" is the more critical factor. Surface firmness is a secondary consideration for me. As my swing gets more precise I may need to re-evaluate?

I started a Skytrak SIM build in my garage during lockdown an got a CCE 5x5 mat from Costco. After about 6 weeks of hitting hundreds of balls a day my wrists and my elbows were hurting. Upon some research I learned many people find CCE causes pain if you routinely take a divot. I actually started unconsciously changing my swing to pick the ball more- which I realized when my NJ club reopened and I got out to play. Bought a Fiberbuilt 1x3 hitting strip and now use the CCE as stance mat only. After a couple weeks pain is gone. Likely depends on your swing- I take a divot. Sweepers might not experience the same result.
