  • Golf tee choice

Just got rev2 of my sim up and running which now allows me to hit driver and 3wood off of my CCE mat. Been snapping tees like crazy OR they are coming off the mat with such velocity that I am worried they are going to embed into my screen or other more sensitive areas of the room (like my face).

What is the groups take on tee selection for a mat like the CCE?

I Use BirTees. Work great & super fast shipping. www.BirTeeGolf.com

Get extra - they fly around as well but they are light and will not cause any damage anywhere.

I had BirTees and only lasted a couple of weeks. I have Tomahawks now. Way better. Wish they were a little taller.

Try birtees or Tomahawk (which I use) secured to the mat with tee claws. The elastic cord from the tee claw keeps the tomahawk r birtee from flying around the room. Google tee claws. I see the now sell the elastic lanyards separately. May need to order some as that is the part that wears out

If you are using the holes in the CCE mat then you can use the rubber tee holders the CCE supplier sells. You can then buy some of the 4 inch unbreakable tees and just stick them in the tee holder. If you want the tee height lower just cut some off the end. The unbreakable tees are not really unbreakable but in my case they last at least 100 drives before breaking. After they break you can usually use the broken off piece for an iron/FW tee in the tee holder.

I use Birtees with a bungee attachment so that they don't go flying all over the place. Hate looking for them in a dark sim environment.

richerod Great idea. I just got mine (like them so far) but I can see how this would be handy. Can you share a pic? Thanks!

Have you tried double stacking them? Sometimes I do that to get little taller tee.

I have tried many different tees and my preference is "Tundra Tees" I bought them in Golf Town.

I use rubber range-mat tees. The circular flat portion sits on top of my turf well, and I use a really sharp knife to cut them down to proper size(they're supposed to be flush with the ground).

If you have a hole in your mat the Fiberbuilt tees are nice, adjustable and last a long time.
