Pain free Hitting mat

After changing my original mat with a fibrebuilt 3x 1 hitting strip,my elbow pain reduced quite considerably.
In recent months I've developed a injury to my index finger on my right hand.
Just wondering if there is a more forgiving mat out there?

Reading through all the replies,it's hard to make out if it is more forgiving injury wise.
Would definitely give it a try even it's only marginally better.
Based in the UK thou. Ron gung ho has stated that he couldn't send to Canada.

Not sure you'd find anything more forgiving than a fiberbuilt unless you're pretty steep and hitting the bottom (which I have done lol). I think those who are pretty steep do find the gel one more forgiving IIRC

Paul g - which fiberbuilt 3x1 strip are you referring to, link please? I've not heard of any injuries while using fiberbuilt and would be curious what caused yours as I have fiberbuilt as well. What exactly is the injury you speak of to your index finger, are you certain it came from your fiberbuilt mat?

It is the 90 x 30 hitting strip panel.supplied by golfswingsystems in uk.
I think the injury to my finger is a repetitive injury to the ligaments, I use nail guns and cordless screwdrivers everyday
If I hit more than 30 or 40shots it just seems to make it worse.
The divot action looks interesting, can't seem to find it in the UK though.

Wow - Paul g - sorry to hear that... I get a lot of pain recently also in index finger, with many swings (50+) on the range. That 90x30 hitting strip - is that entire mat/strip a Fiberbuilt mat? I've never heard of it, but will research more. If you could look underside of it - is there a brand/part number listed?

Regarding divot action - it is very interesting to me also - I may be trying it, as well as making a few of my own and choose the absolute best for feel at impact (able to hit down), and distance (from launch monitor) - especially on fat shots... I'm also trying to pull off something like the hitting strip, but with 2, or even 3 side-by-side strips to cover 1.) Fairway, 2.) First-cut Rough, 3.) Heavy Rough and maybe even to find some way to simulate a bunker (going to be a challenge), but I just can't stand the thought of hitting ALL of my practice and sim shots in my Sim all winter from perfect lies every time! That's just not going to help me get better IRL next Spring....
