Hello,
I’ve narrowed my projector selection to the BenQ LK953ST which is 16:9 4K native, or the Optoma ZU606TST-W 16:10 full HD native. Both have throw ratio of .80 which is what I need to not cast a shadow on the screen with my sim room dimensions. But where it gets tricky for me is my screen size and what size image to project and how each projector will react with adjustment. I.e 4:3, 16:9, 16:10...My enclosure screen is 10’ wide x 8.5’ tall which lends to 4:3. I guess I question with both these projectors at 4:3, which one will have better resolution? Because both are not native 4:3 will they be equal?, or will the 4K projector always have double the resolution no matter the size format? And also since the BenQ is native 16:9 is it able to project 16:10? If so, I understand that since it’s not native 16:10 it will do it by cropping the image but since it’s 4K will it still have better resolution than the native 16:10 HD Optoma? Or am I missing something at all??
Computer specs
Core i7 9700
GeForce RTX 2080ti
16 GB 2666 DDR4
I appreciate any input or knowledge on the subject. Thanks.
