    Projector Calculator Accuracy

    Hello,

I recently purchased a projector and the reason I bought it was due to what the projector calculator output specified. In addition, I used this data to buy a custom size screen. I attached the calculator. So at about 6' I should get 9'8"W x 7'3'H at 4:3 Aspect Ratio. I received the projector and at 4:3 the width is pretty accurate but not the height. I am missing about 5"-10" on the H. Just wondering if this has happened with anyone else. I did some real world tests today and it looks like it might work but untill I get my screen installed its tough to say.

I am connected via VGA with 2736x1824 resolution.

I'm not sure that it will help, but I would set your resolution to 1024 x 768 since that is the resolution of the projector. When you set it to 2736 x 1824 the projector has to down sample that to what it can display. Maybe something is happening because that non standard resolution isn't handled well by the projector

Your projector is probably working properly. The resolution that you have apparently been able to choose to project at IS NOT 4:3, seems to be 3:2

Select the native resolution (1024 x 768) as andygg1986 suggested and you should get the proper image.
