I got FSX 2018 yesterday. I am very new to FSX, but I can say for sure the graphics difference from FSX to FSX 2018 is huge. I was not impressed with the graphics in the old version. I even own the expensive courses, and the graphics were marginal. FSX 2018 is a huge difference in the graphics quality! I would say the included courses graphics are about as good as TGC, and the expensive courses look even better than TGC. I am extremely impressed with the graphics quality with FSX 2018. I have not spent enough time to tell you about other features added or upgraded.

I have a few videos on my channel with live play with a couple guys. They aren't edited so there is quite a bit of dead time. You can get a good idea of how the play is. I don't have anything with v5 yet. I working on the studio so hopefully there will be more coming in the future. I do want to do some play throughs and edit out the time between shots. Play hasn't changed much in v5 so the videos should give you a good idea. I put the live feeds in a playlist so they are easier to find. You can check them out here:

I am asking for some recommendations on the courses as well. I would go for $20 a course.
I would want an easy course (not too easy but is a course that doesn't have a lot of OB areas and have a clear open field so you can practice when you're in a slump or something). Maybe like 5500~6000 yds course which is suitable for typical amateurs.Last edited by LEO MODE; 06-28-2018, 08:05 PM.

Carnoustie will host the Open Championship this year. Off the top of my head there is Glen Oak, Doral, Abu Dhabi, Conway Farms, Quail Hollow, La Jolla and Wentworth West. There are others that have host the US Open and other events. Cog Hill and Congressional are very well done with the latest update and I would consider them must haves. The Spring City Mountain course is very good as is Olazabel. Lots of good ones actually. You can check out my site, in sig, to get a little more info on the courses.

Thanks mm!! I was hoping Mission Hills Blackstone would be, but Grant said not yet. This deal is making it almost time to bite the bullet and upgrade!!! I honestly don't know much about the above courses other than what you can get on the internet or blue golf.
I am also interested in Prestwick, but it is probably not ready yet. What are your thoughts on Woodloch Springs???
Thanks in advance!

My site, in signature, has the most info you are going to get on the courses. It's almost all except for the new ones which I'll be adding when I get them. Not much info provided from Foresight on these which is why I built the site.
