GC2 GSX & ProTee Inteface Setup for TGC and ProTee 2.0

Follow the steps below and in the next few post to initially connect your GC2 to GSX to ProTee Interface. Enjoy!

1: Connect your Bluetooth adapter to your pc's USB port using a USB extension cable. Run the cable into the sim room where the adapter will be as close to the GC2 as possible or within 6 ft of the GC2. After that, install the Bluetooth adapter driver that came in the package.

2: Turn on the GC2. From the right bottom corner of the Taskbar, click the up arrow to show all hidden icons. Select the Bluetooth icon and select Add Devices. See the screen shots below.






3: If your GC2 does not pair up automatically, click your GC2 device and select Pair. Then enter 0000 and click Next.

Yes it still works and you will still follow the steps on setup. The asus BT adapter works well.

Sorry for the dumb question, I am finishing buying the supplies needed for my setup. If I am using a gaming laptop that has Bluetooth already - do I need a USB Bluetooth adapter? Or is there something special about a particular adapter and the software?

some have better luck getting the BT adapter very close to the GC2 and it may be better than the internal BT. My BT dongle went out and replaced it with the Asus and I have it connected to a USB port on my keyboard which is about 9’ or so from the GC2 and it works no problem. Sometimes I do have to pick up the GC2 to bring it closer but once it connects it never drops.

Hey guys, I am in the process of getting TGC setup with my GC2 and have a couple questions.

1) Can I do this with the GC2 connected to my PC via usb instead of Bluetooth? I have been using it that way with FSX with no issues.

2) is Auto putt a feature on TGC? I currently do not have an appropriate setup to putt on my simulator, so I hope this is possible...otherwise I will have to make a putting surface haha

Hi all - I recently purchased a GC2 and have since converted over my TGC2019 subscription for use with it (from Mevo+). I received all new licenses and that seems to be working correctly as I can access all of the software in the ProTee interface etc. I have followed all of the setup process steps and feel like everything is configured correctly. However when I launch TGC2019 I am unable to get shots to register consistently. I was actually only able to get 3 shots in a row to show one time but then it stopped and I cant get shots to register now. I didn't change anything either after that... When I look at the Message window in the ProTee interface its showing data received but then says "TGC not connected". Also I notice that the GSX software sometimes is very slow when connecting and freezes. I assume its the latest version as I downloaded it Monday. If I connect and get the green light and then disconnect and try to reconnect it will not connect to the Status Input - just show disconnected until I restart my computer. Computer is brand new gaming laptop and I purchased the Asus Bluetooth adaptor. Anyone have thoughts on what could be happening? I really am excited to get this working so I can play again! Thanks!

It can be a few things. The most common is how far the Bluetooth dongle is from the GC2. It needs to be super close. Especially that one. Most guys have it a foot away from the GC2 using a USB extension cable. Second possibility is an internal Bluetooth. Disable it. Third is power savings settings on the laptop. Turn them off for the Bluetooth. If none of that helps let me know.

Should be the outgoing com. Windows 10 changes it now and then

I’ve been playing TGC W/GC2 for a couple of years now and wondering why today I had Bluetooth connection problems? Bluetooth shows Foresight paired, Protee Interface set to TGC, in GSX Status Input shows NOT CONNECTED and Status Output shows CONNECTED? I unpaired GC2, then paired it back and still could not get both Input and Output to CONNECT? I finally changed the serial port to Port 3 and not the USUAL Port 4 and all the sudden I’m CONNECTED? I’ve read this thread several times in the past as I know Bluetooth connections can be an issue but I’m wondering what causes the change where I have to switch serial ports?

Most likely something else connected on the port.

Using the recommended Bluetooth dongle (have it plugged in at least but can’t tell if computer is using that or the internal Bluetooth) on windows 10. Keep getting both incoming and outgoing ports to be the same (both com3). Can’t figure out how to change it. Can’t figure out how to turn off internal Bluetooth without just turning “Bluetooth off” but then I can’t connect at all. So I can’t get gsx to connect (choosing com3 in the gsx settings, just says output connection refused. Previous used tgc on SkyTrak and have all licensed transferred. Any thoughts? Thanks

Under your settings on the GSX Comm 3 will come up. The slider to the right allows you to scroll down to Comm 4. This is detailed in the original post to this thread.
