GCQuad with TGC up and running

I listed the steps I took to get this thing going. I just got done playing a round at a famous course down South where a big tourney was supposed to be held this weekend.

Step 1: Buy this: https://golfsimulatorstore.com/colle...13246583636067 - this part is a pain because you need to install protee and TGC and wait for all your licenses to come via email.

Step 2: Configure protee as instructed in other posts. Basically - you need to just change 1 setting to configure it to external data

Step 3: Install GQSX.com - pm me if you need this

Step 4: Connect the Quad to the computer via wifi

Step 5: Connect to internet either via ethernet cable or another wifi card and bridge connections - this allows to connect to internet and qcquad at the same time

Step 6: Launch Protee then GQSX (click on connect) then start TGC

It should now work. No needing all that other stuff like you do for the GC2.

Hi there, new GCQ owner here. Is the GCQuad x TGC2019 comparable to GCQuad x E6 Connect? Are the putting misreads still an issue with the GCQuad x TGC2019? Thanks!

no experience with E6 connect but with TGC2019, switching to black socks and all black shoes seems to have completely eliminated misreads.

I've never used the bridge function. I use my internal WIFI for internet connection and a USB WIFI dongle for connection to the Quad. Never had any issues.

I’ve tried to go through and use the various instructions people have tried and I am having an incredibly hard time getting TGC2019 to work with my Quad. Any new instructions and/or new versions of the GQSX?

Do you have FSX2020? That's a prerequisite to get TGC2019 to work now for many of us

With GQSX...Anyone get the error : "Failed to execute script GQSX" when trying to start the app? Is python a requirement? Trying this on a new installation of Win10 Pro

Did you figure this issue out? I am having the same thing pop up when I try to launch the GQSX. Running as admin didn't do anything for me. My quad is supposed to show up today so is it possible I am having this issue because I do not have the sim hooked up to it yet? Trying to get ahead of the game and have everything downloaded so it is ready to go when I get it hooked up.

Quick question about dual monitors:
I have a 4K gaming monitor (Monitor 1) and an extended desktop for my projector. The projector (Monitor 2) is a different resolution (1920x1200). Is there a setting in TGC2019 to duplicate the image on both monitors at different resolutions? Currently, the app is only showing up on the 4K monitor and it looks great. If I window it and move it over to Monitor 2, then I don't get to see it in 4K on Monitor 1. I don't want to duplicate the displays as I have the extended desktop working well for other golf apps like E6 and FSX2020. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the short answer is 'no'. I'm quite sure Windows doesn't maintain the resolution at the application level but at the monitor level.

Let's see my method

1. Start GC Quad
2. Connect to Gc Quad Wifi on your PC
3. Run GQSX
4. Run Protee
5. Club data ( if you want ) , click Connect GQSX
6. Run TGC 2019 —> Practice Range
7. Run FSX 2020 —> Settings
   1. Refresh until you see all connection mode ( 3 for me)
      • ⁃ USB C
      • ⁃ NET ( Ethernet)
      • ⁃ WIFI
   2. Unselect each mode and then select the Wifi mode --> Connect WIFI , it appears " Connected"
   3. Leave FSX 2020 by closing the window with “X”
8. Enjoy your first TGC 2019 shot

The only thing I do differently is I open FSX before I open TGC 2019. For settings in FSX, I typically have the Quad auto-connect via a USB connection. So, I have to hit refresh and it finds the Quad via Wifi immediately. (It never shows up with an Ethernet connection, but I also have never connected that way.)

What has been working for me, similar to Zuni but a bit different-
1- Power on GCQ
2- Connect to GCQ Wifi
3- Run Protee
4- Run GQSX and hit the button, make sure all three are green
5- Start FSX, connect GCQ (probably have to hit refresh a number of times first).
6- Start TGC, play the round.

My steps to get GCQ running on TGC2019:
1.) Launch ProTee - be sure to configure the external data is set
2.) Launch GQSX - Hit the connect button and verify that all three are green
3.) Launch FSX2020 - I just wait until I get to the main screen then immediately minimize it. I do not connect the GCQ in FSX 2020.
4.) Launch TGC 2019 - Go to the range and verify that it works.
