Foresight Sports - Looks like major new products

Their website has whole new lines of hardware and software. It looks like they've got a new launch monitor, the GC2-T which appears to be specifically for simulation, especially in a residential setting. They've also got the GC2-K which we'd already heard about and is a kiosk based all in one system.

They also appear to be realigning their software line. It appears that they're trying to segregate the products for different markets (fitting, commercial, residential). It's not clear what software engine they're using for various products.

    Thanks for the post zip.

I wonder what the GC2-T will retail at. It's smaller, has no display, but still has two cameras in stereo and the same flash. It should be cheaper, but how much. As for the new FSX 4K software, I wonder if this is what RC has been secretly working on for the last year or two. It appears to be a new engine with a resolution of up to 4K or a double of HD. Interesting indeed.

Noticed the various play modes including scramble. No mention of online play though.

Very interesting and not suprising. The price of the hardware and software is the question.

Very interesting. I imagine the GC2-T will have to be cheaper otherwise they wouldn't sell any since the GC2 is protable and has an LCD screen. As Bubba said, very interesting but what is the price.

Like I have been saying for over a year, there will be cheaper but accurate products coming. That will drive prices down due to competition which makes it better for everyone. Simulation prices have historically been way too high. We should thank Optishot for starting this trend.

              My guess on prices:

              GC2 stays at $6500
              GC2-T $5000
              PS fitting/1 course $1500
              FSX fitting $2000
              FSX courses(base+5 courses) $3000

Lets see how close I get.

I emailed 2 Canada Foresight reps earlier today asking for prices and one of them told me he thinks the GC2-T will retail pretty much the same as the GC2. This is unofficial of course, but kinda disappointing if true.

Seriously now...if you haven't aligned yourself with a specific product, what a great time to be a consumer!

All this innovation is a great thing! So many great things happening and so many new options we are learning about. Great companies acknowledging the home simulator market and trying to compete. This is great for all of us. Keep an open mind.

GC2-T will be $100 less than the GC2.

                          FSX 1 course $2500.

                          Not RC.

                          No online play.
