So...no HMT add on capability and no LCD display but I save $100? This has to be a mistake. I feel like you are halfway through an infomercial. "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!"
Yes! And if you call now in the next 30 mins, we'll throw in another GC2-T for free! You'll only have to pay a relatively small handling/processing fee of just $6400...lol

Well actually Its probably $200 LESS FOR THE gC2-t VS THE gc2, SO A $200 SAVING!!!
I saw this link for a combined system gc2 and protee. Seems like the best option if they threw in the HMT lol. I really hope this LM the guys have been talking about pans out soon cause it is tough waiting for this. The $$ is just crazy for us poor family guys to handle.
So.....IF these prices are correct....what the heck!?!?! Who exactly is their target consumer? This is the chance to make a splash and grab a whole new segment of the market. So sad.
If whatever surprise Zmax has been hinting at pans out, FS will have no market if it is apples to apples.
I cannot comprehend Foresight's "business model." It's as if they are truly unaware of the potential market for their own product... Obviously, when they first developed the GC2 they were targeting club fitters but, the Opti-Shot demonstrated there's a mass market for this type of product and they are failing to address it in any meaningful way. Price tiering GC2 technology and bundling targeted products for both professional and consumer markets should be easy (and a no-brainer) at this point. So far, it appears they simply have no brain!
If I were an investor, I would be enraged at their cluelessness...
I agree. The guy at the top needs to be fired. P3pro made a change and has been improving.
I suspect the free market will eventually work itself out. This new LM is going to help big time. Another disappointment is the new FSX software. 4k resolution but probably not real.
It makes no sense. Perhaps with the potential new products coming, they will feel the pinch. As it stands the GC2T is not a smart business plan (not because its not a good product). It really makes no sense!!!

It makes sense to a point when you are not confronted, face to face, with direct competition. To this point, they really haven't been.
With a new LM on the horizon, if it is apples to apples, FS will have to take notice and adjust. To this point, a new LM has not been demonstrated yet, so they feel they can name their price.
If a new LM is brought to market, and it is accurate AND beats everyone's A$$ in price, then everyone (consumers) wins.
The Protee development of software that works with FS is a shot across the bow. Expect return fire.
Actually John, despite no camera based competition, it still makes no sense. There are radar based options like Flightscope if one wants a ground launch monitor. Ther are plenty simulator options other than the GC2. They must know through research that other companies are in the works. Sure they don't have a camera based competitor right now but that wont be forever. They have positioned themselves as "the most accurate unit", but from what I have tested, there is no perfect unit.

Just because something doesn't make sense to a consumer doesn't mean it doesn't make business sense. I'm a business owner, and I know I charge more than many consumers are willing to pay. But the game isn't to maximize market share, it's to maximize revenues. And cutting your price in half to triple your market share isn't automatically a good decision. The fact the Foresight hasn't lowered their prices in the 3 or so years they've been in business should be a pretty go
