I think you will be happy with your choices. I would put pretty much all of those in the top ten and prairie dunes will give you a good links style course.

In response to he no short throw projector comment, there actually are now short throw 4K projectors. The only problem is you Ned $50k and it is ultra short throw (sits right in front of the screen) made by Sony.Comment

I was torn as well at 7 so I bought the extra two as well. That said I probably would have been fine with 5. Couer d'Alene is one my favorites.Comment

I play FSX and have the Golf Club. The Golf Club is awesome and works great with the GC2, but it is great to have both. For practice, it is very nice to just drop a ball on any FSX course and get the data from that shot. Graphically, there is really no comparison between the two. However, they are both top notch and FSX will continually improve. I just wish everything with foresight wasn't so pricey!Comment

To be honest, I spend time almost equally on both as far as playing, which is not what you are looking to hear.. The amount of courses on TGC is overwhelming, but in a good way. If you have the extra $1K, I would highly recommend it. I practice all on FSX because it works great. I don't play online, but when a friend comes over, he prefers TGC by a large margin. -

No problem. Absolutely no rush...........it's not going anywhere. You will have our hands full with Foresight FSX for a while! FSX is tons of fun to play too, but no online at this time

I went COG Hill, Congressional, Dallas National, Olympic & Teton Pines. Love COG Hill & Congressional. Run a i7, Geforce 960 Gtx and 8 Gb ram. The only course I'll see some slow FPS is Dallas National. All the tree's I think are quite taxing on the graphics.Comment

I see people talking about updates etc. How do you do this? I have Play, Fitting and Compete. I see now its called Play, Improve and Compete.Comment

Call Foresight support tech. They will probably send you an email with the newest update, which should update the software for you. Several of the courses have been improved with this new update. I believe it is 2.1.0.0. Dallas National is one of the courses that has been worked on. Once downloaded, you can run the software at full performance, medium graphics, and maximize graphics. For me, the full performance works the best by far.Comment

Yes, talked to them yesterday and got the update. Like the new features. Going to fit an extra 8 gb ram this week and see if it helps some of the low fps I see now and again.Comment

When you run the new software, login in and go to updates at the bottom. This will reinstall the latest versions. I don't believe they need to be downloaded again because they are just replacing the old files. You will see and install button to click. It will start running and will update the course.
Let me know how the extra 8G of ram works please. I have been told everything from upgrading my i5 to i7 and getting a better video card, but I think my Nvidia Geforce 960 should be good enough. I can really only run the software smoothly on Full performance at this time.
BTW Olympic looks so much better now and Dallas National runs so much smoother. Very good improvements!Comment

Olympic had a complete overhaul and looks so much better. Thanks for letting me know that the 8G doesn't make too much difference. My next step was to go from an i5 to i7, but you already have the i7 and are still having drops in fps. Looks like we have the same graphics card, which I'm told should be more than competent to run graphically intense software. Upgrading to the next level is way too much. I'm thinking Foresight still has some work to do on getting the software to run smoother! They seem to be on the right path, but it could take a great long while!Comment

I'll be playing Oakmont all weekend! When the Blue Monster came out during Doral, it was fun to play the course while watching the coverage on TV.Comment
