Well, one of the big players is jumping into the consumer market for launch monitors. According to the webpage, Full Swing is releasing the “Kit” for $4k, and the reported metrics looks to include club pash and face angle at impact. The product page is light on details, but this looks to be the kind of product that could really disrupt Foresight’s hold on the midrange market.

The worst Vendor is a silent vendor. This is a bigger ticket item for most middle market purchasers which it appears they were trying to penetrate at a $4,000 price point. If they are serious about entering this space, put out some info. My best guess the tech results did not live up to their marketing hype so they just shut the heck up.

Agreed. As someone who builds and launches software for a living this smells like they were marketing the product and had a launch plan ready but that went out the door when the product beta was not ready in time or they did not confirm agreements with third parties. They must have proof of concepts completed but not a full blown beta they can put out in the public. Smart to pause and get it right. That being said, you got to come out with some news... basic marketing fail. no news just leads to speculation, usually negative.
I think we should also remember these companies don’t have tons of capital so don’t expect top notch sales and marketing orgs. It’s probably a very small team without a ton of experience compared to the larger equipment manufacturers.

My understanding is that they have a big event today, where this will be showcased. Building hardware and software is definitely not straightforward. If they are not mentioning anything this week about the KIT then something has gone very wrong in their development of it.Last edited by Skarpo; 01-27-2021, 08:58 AM.

Hi Guys Just my two cents worth.
We are all excited about this unit due to the price points and features, yet we haven't any more info. I think in the last couple of days there has been a lot of bad comments on here about it not doing this and not doing that. But i feel this is all out of frustration because we haven't any further news. It is all speculation. I have in fact spoken with someone at FS about the KIT they had a meeting yesterday regarding the virtual show and what and how they are presenting. When I spoke with him again 3 weeks ago he assured me indoor play and simulation play is possible. But again until we hear any more information we should sit tight and not speculate or get negative. Just my two cents worth as I say.
We are based in the UK for your information.

A bit more info? I hope someone like Par2Pro or someone here who is an industry expert/pro will be able to post a video with a demo of it. There are way too many unknowns with this unit. They keep signing amazing PGA players as reps who install the units in their homes and tout that, but if you are going to release a product aimed at the mid-tier market and then use random clips of Tiger Woods to "Sell" it to consumers, without any actual use of it... It borders on false advertising to be honest. Tiger probably never used it, they probably used one of his quoted dialogues in their discussions regarding Full Swing as a company. I really hate that.
Say what you will about Flight Scope, but in their marketing of Mevo and Mevo+ they showed actual use and actual demonstrations prior to launch.

That doesn't sound promising. I don't think there's a huge market for outdoor-only users at that price point. I think most people willing to spend that much will want to get indoor use out of it as well. I doubt anyone is dropping 2 grand for a Mevo+ to only use it outdoors. And much less likely to drop twice as much money to do the same.Originally posted by DS12 View PostFull Swing homepage has an image of the "Kit" and says it's the "most innovative outdoor launch monitor"
The learn more link just goes back to the pre-sale site, with no new information right now

Hi Guys
From what i see on their website the full swing kit works:
Indoor & Outdoor
Measures 15 data points looks like club face and club path numbers included
Takes 1080p video of your swing, guess its something like mevo+ video recording.
Simulation software integration with 3rd parties not announced yet.
Its on their website.

Accurately measuring indoor ball flight with a radar is very challenging. Flightscope cannot get it right, even for its high end model. TrackMan get it ALMOST right (still not perfect) only with significant lighting and after years of trials and errors. So I am not surprised a bit that FullSwing is obviously having issues with this new adventure.

If you study the 17 second video on their website carefully, I think it reveals that KIT is similar to Kitt from Knight Rider! This one has a blue light instead of red, this one also speaks and has a personality....I think I may be on to something here!! 😳🧐....😴
I don’t understand, regardless of company size, why create fever pitch about product launch and then not handle comms appropriately as this impacts first impressions of what customers think about a product, brand, etc. And if, as someone earlier said, they are not that big a company, well how are they set up to sell to and more importantly support a bigger segment of customers at the retail end of the spectrum (website says you only buy products from them directly)?

Uummm perhaps I have been living under a rock but who is Harry Brandt? And to be honest this does not look like anything official nor does it look like it came from Fullswing. Sorry don’t seem to sound pessimistic or insulting but until Fullswing puts something on its website I will remain skeptical.

Harry runs a Facebook page for Sims and is a sim expert. He has had conversations with the CEO of FullSwing regarding the product and will be receiving on to test like he has done with lots of other units

Yes it will definitely be launched, that's for sure for both indoor and outdoor use. Its just a matter of what features will be out of the box for the 4k price point.
From what I hear from Full Swing you need to pay additional SW fees to get premium features like potentially indoor capabilities. Also in terms of launch timing of summer 2021, can be all from May to September, so they have options to launch the product later in the year if the original plan of May 2021 does not hold water. I think they have removed the target ship date of "May 2021" from their website - only says summer 2021 now.

I think they forgot to change it there. I am almost certain it was listed May 1st on the pre-order page, since I have never read through the Q&A pages, and made the pre-order based on that expectation. I would be glad if that is still the case, but honestly don't expect it to hold water.Last edited by Skarpo; 01-28-2021, 02:39 PM.
