  • Shot Rewind Bug

With multiple players - the shot rewind function doesn't do what you'd think:

Today when starting a hole (group of three) - someone accidentally hit for someone else. They used the shot rewind to 'erase' the shot but instead of taking that shot away - it seems to have taken the shot away from the current player shown.

To be clear - Player 1 is on the tee - wrong person hits for Player 1. Player 2 is now on the tee - but the group wants to 'undo' the shot hit for Player one, so they us 'shot rewind' - instead of going back to Player 1, it takes away Player 2's last shot (which was his final shot on the preceding hole).

Does my explanation make any sense?

I don't see how shot rewind is a useful function the way its working now - how can I get this fixed?

My understanding is you have to wait until it's your shot again then do shot rewind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You have to hit shot rewind when it's the persons shot that wants to rewin. Mthunt is correct.

While it does work the way you've mentioned - this is counter intuitive and not convenient for group play.

Yeah, it's not a bug. It's by design. It's the same way Mulligan works on all other golf games.

I'm pretty sure that other commercial simulator software does not have "Mulligan" implemented this way - its fine for a home setting (to wait for the player's turn to come backup) - but in a commercial environment, its a little confusing for customers. Keep in mind when this happens it's not usually an actual "Mulligan": instead it's used when someone hit for the wrong person.

TGC is particularly prone to "Ooops - I hit for the wrong person" because we don't have the ability to put player names in. I know it seems crazy to those of you who have simulators at home, but keep in mind that my clients use simulators much less frequently.

TGC is a video game converted to simulator. No one ever said it was a commercial simulator.

Our plan is to turn it into a commercial simulator by adding missing functions required for commercial use. The system is only just running for 2 months. We need some time to get these all done. We will be looking into the player names first. With the right names there will probably be less confusions.

                  I appreciate the effort!

Is there any forum for support for commercial needs? It seems like these forums are skewed towards home users - and while their needs are also important, its much easier for a home user that uses their simulator daily to 'work around' something. In a commercial setting - I don't really have the luxury of training each customer with the various work arounds.

I'll say it again - the #1 thing I need are multiple sets of tees where different players on the same machine can play from different tees.
While I realize it'll be some work to implement - I don't think it should be a very large undertaking as 'decorative tee markers' are already in the game.
