  • Program starts dragging.....

I have a Protee with TGC . Lately, I can play for an hour or so then the system will just start dragging... This happens when playing a course or the driving range. I normally have zero lag between my hit and the video... But when it starts dragging I get 2-3 seconds lag and then finally it freezes up completely.... Any ideas?

Strange. Never noticed that. Try rebooting your system.

This sounds like a computer related issue. My best guess would be something overheating. Processor or Graphics Card.
HDD full might also cause something similar.

Can you still exit the game or load another course, or is everything locked up. Windows still working?

Sounds heat related. CPUs and GPUs will throttle down if they get too hot, to avoid damage.

I would open your PC case, and make sure your fans in the CPU and GPU are spinning.

Also if you have never done it, unhook everything, take it outside, open the case, and blow it out with an air compressor of shop vac. I do that once a year or so, and am amazed at how much dust collects inside a computer.

Will try all the above....I noticed when dragging, the bottom right of the screen shows the little white wifi or internet bug (not sure what you call it) that is blinking....is this normal...

Could this be related to the internet in any way....in other words, is there any communication going back and forth once you start playing a round or hitting on the range? It really has the look and feel of the internet connection going up and down...

I will check out the cpu, but my room is air conditioned and clean so I am doubtful unless there is some kind of fan failure. Is there a diagnostic tool or measurement that I can pull up regarding CPU temperature?

It is related to the internet. The symbol that you mention is the equivalent of a 'transmit/receive' light on a router.

I have also noticed times when I have waited for what seems 'forever' to have a course load, and the 'internet jitterbug' is just merrily flashing away, but nothing is happening.

Believe it may have to do with load on the server and background stuff like back-ups and maintenance.

            Seems to come and go.

Also, Protee, to answer your question, I simply exit out of TGC and reload it. I do not reboot the system, I do not even reboot the ProTee interface, I simply exit out of TGC and start it back. and the problem goes away.

it's an internet issue most likely. green grids if on a green will freeze as well.

exactly drewpac and aja.....glad to know it's not just me. Drewpac you are absolutely right in that I have been putting and the movements on the green showing the break just stop and freeze..

I agree with aja and think it is more of a server issue...I am hardwired into my router and not going through wifi, and i can pull up the browser and other websites at normal speed. Not sure if there is anything I can do on my end to resolve this.

I changed internet providers and then changed my router settings to prioritize my sim computer, switched to 5g wireless and that fixed my issues. im at only 5 down and 2 up and works fine now.
