TGC Issues

So, after having TGC for about 2 weeks now and using it with our Skytrak here are the problems we have

1. How do you get 4 players to play together. Seems very confusing. For me the add player bit simply does not work.

2. Skytrak seems very hit and miss. Admittedly it can work perfectly for up to 8 holes, then it seems to switch itself off. Which means having to exit the game and go in to the Skytrak interface to reconnect the unit

3. Having reconnected the unit, and going back into TGC, how do you get back to the same 4 ball game. I click continue game and all i get is the first original named played playing a 1 ball by himself

4. For me, the TGC software seems very hit and miss, compared to e6 which seems to be very polished and user friendly

I too had a friend over and tried to add him. Seem straight forward - add a golfer, but when I typed is name it always went back and changed my name. I keep forgetting to open a support ticket.

Yep thats exactly my point. Hoping its just an easy fix or something I am doing wrong.

Cant deny, that looks very simple. Unfortunately that is not how it works on mine. You seem to be able to rename players very easily. When i do it and then click save it seems to save it as the first person that is named and then guest in brackets. Any videos on how to save a game properly so that it can then be gone back into if Skytrak crashes. We seem to go back in to the game and only have the first named person on the screen, no 4 ball

seriously, send out a patch. save a couple local files. it's an amazing concept....which has been around since the beginning of gaming.

Tried again this afternoon to get a 4 ball booked in for this evening, I can't get the adding players to work as it does in the above video. Will try and film what happens when I try tomorrow but to be honest not far off giving up with TGC.

That's really disappointing.

Just had a 4ball booked in this evening. Not even managed to get any holes played due to software issues.

They logged onto e6 demo app and spent a couple of hours playing on the driving range.

At this moment I can't see TGC and Skytrak lasting at our club, really disappointed in how it performs. As I said earlier, it just doesn't seem a finished/user friendly product. It's all well and good saying tgc2 will have that option, not good enough really!

Strange. I've been having friends over since TGC came out without ever an issue. It used to not allow a name change but that was fixe long ago. I add player, edit player and name and set the handicap then play. I don't have skytrak but I can't see why that would matter.

You have to click save before changing players or it will show the default. Could be why

I have no problem either with wife or friends playing I can name them and set handicaps no problem. Its the stoppings and picking up the game is the only issue I have and the saving in memory that would be nice in the future, I don't expect them to ever play a tournament but would be nice to lock in reoccurring guests.
