hello everyone I need your help.

i currently own a kick ass sports bar and I would like to build an adjacent facility next to it with golf sims. So I’m bvioualy for commercial use.

Whats important to me is auto tee.

i have been in contact with golf Zon as well as green joy.

Its td a very difficult decision for me because I will be competing with x golf and I want to make sure my sims provide a superior experience in every way than x golf. Money is NOT my main concern but just like any business person I want a good deal. Can you help?

Xgolf is the only simulator-related auto-tee platform I'm aware of. I've seen them installed at driving ranges - so it might be possible to repurpose them for an indoor golf facility.

There's an Xgolf in the city I live in (Grand Rapids, MI) that I've been to many times, and after only a six months since opening, those things are showing a lot of signs of wear.

I am curious as to where you're located - and what you plan to do business-wise in the warm (summer) months of the year.

My guess is one reason for the golf sim is so the folks drinking in the sports bar have something else to do rather than play pool. They can now drink more, watch more games and play golf. Good luck.

green joy is a great setup, but based on the pga show video from par2pro there courses are all NOT US. I would call par2pro for advice.

      Hi Mike,

im in Rochester Hills Michigan. I believe the revenue I make during the winter will carry the summer months for me.

Green Joy and GolfZon have auto tee up. I’m just curious how they work and how they compare to other sims. I’m looking for the best sim with auto tee up I can buy

        HI Brandon,

I think that's a big assumption. I surmise that most indoor golf facilities show a loss in the summer - so one bad winter revenue-wise could be problematic.

Did you see that they're building a TopGolf facility in Auburn Hills? That could be some pretty stiff competition if your in an adjacent city.

Small world. I work at Crooks and 75 and frequent CJ Mahoneys for lunch

I don’t think top golf is competition to a place like x golf. I was at top golf in Orlando and I have been to the one in Vegas. It’s totally different than playing on a golf sim. Also, I own CJ Mahoneys in Rochester Hills. Our bar has been around for over 13years. The facility would be adjacent to it. So I would be able to provide our food and drinks to guests.

If you get it off the ground I’ll be there when I have meetings at CTC.

Interesting. I've never been to a Top Golf and I hadn't realize it was much more than just a sim golf place.

Congrats on 13 years! One of the clients of my consulting firm owns a restaurant in Hudsonville - the restaurant biz can be tough. I actually discussed a similar situation with him a while back - where he was going to provide food and beverages to an adjacent business. The municipality wouldn't let him take food outside his restaurant so his idea didn't pan out. Might be worth looking when RH has similar ordinances into if you haven't already.

Its the adjacent building so we would have a walkthrough between buildings, food would not have to go outside

My buddies and I all drink when we indoor golf, and for the most part nothing has gone wrong, though last winter one friend overswung so far that he fell down and almost bounced his face off the red hot top of my propane heater!
