  • Golf simulators similarly priced to SkyTrak

    Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right category to place this post but I am interested in purchasing a simulator however I know there are a few new systems out/coming out. Due to budget is there anything that I should look at and consider that are similarly price to the SkyTrak.

I am not looking for anything too extensive but would like some club data, shot traceability and also simulator for being able to play some rounds with friends.

    any advice would be appreciated.
I am located in the UK for your info.

    Thanks Hammy

There is nothing that compares to a Skytrak in the 2k price range. For the accuracy and value Skytrak is in a price point all on their own. Skytrak does not provide true club data, the club data skytrak displays is purely based off an algorithm from ball data. Skytrak can be integrated with multiple golf simulator softwares top 3 are probably TGC, TGC2019, and E6. IMO Tgc2019 is the best of the bunch.

You can find a GC2 used for roughly 4k but this does not provide club data either unless you buy an HMT that is very expensive 5k range or more is my guess with out looking it up. So GC2 and HMT combined will put you roughly in the 10k range.

Then there is the new Uneekor system. I dont know much about this but from what I heard for somewhere in the 6k range you can get ball and club data.

ProTee and GSA also provide what you are looking for. Used systems can be picked up for less than a Skytrak. GSA is Alpha testing a new system called Vistrak. This system will offer great value and the club data that you are looking for. Beta testing of Vistrak is expected to be open to the public within a month or two.

For me the advantage of the skytrak was cost and you just turn it on and place on your hitting matt....done.

Plus you can take it to the range.... a little tougher with GSA.

PROTEE starts in the UK at £2395.00 plus Vat for a TGC base pack so approx £3K. Skytrack with case, GIP and TGC also approx 3K plus £89.00 per annum for the GIP add on

          Hi Guys,

Really appreciate the time to comment and provide some feedback. Had a really helpful and long chat with Jamie PROTEE UK and he couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable. Now to decide on the skytrak or protee as these are the only systems within budget at the moment it seems. Thanks again

ProTee does have great support. Skytrak...is hit and miss.

Both are good systems....my consideration would be as follows:

1)You have a permanent setup, you have control of ambient lighting, you have both left/right players, and just turn on and play (after setting up), I would go ProTee

2)You want portability (take to range), you only have right or left handed golfers, and easy setup, I would go with Skytrak.
