I'll say this first, the framers are wrapping up framer our house in the next day or two, so answer quick answers would be very beneficial. This whole thing has me stressed!
Here's where I'm at:
We are building a new home and had a simulator planning in the basement. The area it was suppose on was a wall 14' wide by 10' tall in the basement. Perfect spot, over looks the living room area which has a 133" screen for games and stuff. Anyway, our architect messed something up big time because we only have about 10' in depth before the ceiling drop to 6' for HVAC ducting. They can't move it at this point.
So, it seems the only way to make this work is to push the wall back, but I can't push the whole wall back unfortunately as part of it goes to an exterior wall. See the photo.

The new area is 10' 10" wide and 6' deep.
My main questions are:

My main questions are:
- How close is the closet you can be to the screen? Thinking MAYBE I could still fit it in the original area, but you'd have to be 7' from the screen. Doesn't seem like that will work.
- If we have to push it back, it seems like I can fit a 4:3 8'x10.5' bay perfectly into this set back area. Will it suck having a 4:3 set up?
- I was thinking of the Foresight system with the FSX 2018 software and GC2. Can this run at 4:3 even?
- Is it OK to have only a foot of space behind the impact screen? Since this area can only be 6' deep, that's all I can have.
- It seems like I can "build" this system myself instead of getting everything from Foresight for $40,000 (now that I've went through all this that price seems a little crazy)
- I've been reading on this forum, seem like there are many configuration options and different monitors with different software.
- I was thinking of getting https://shop.foresightsports.com/col...ox-par-package and then my own screen, projector, etc. to finalize my set up.
- After reading more I've considered the SkyTrak instead of GS2 and ProTee looks like a lot of fun. I could run ProTee with SkyTrak, correct?
