I just thought as its based on light reflection any light leaching in from elsewhere must be seen as a reflection and so eliminating as much light as possible could only make things better.
Reflected from the screen is the minimum i could achieve

WOW. That's a lot. That's "optishot is reading true after all" territory. There are other opinions about this out there though. This guy seem to think consistent +3mph for golf sense. I don't have an opinion... I just have an appetite for the truth.Originally posted by braycobbMy golfsense consistently read 8-10 mph slower than Trackman.

Yes, our guidelines say to leave all speed or carry settings at default. We allow minor adjustments of no more than 5%. But only a few people have needed to make any changes.
We have a unique situation though. Bubba22 and I have a direct line to ProTee and we are deeply involved with improvements on hardware and software. TGC and ProTee 2.0 have been "GC2 tuned" and compared to other tools. With the help of other testers, changes and improvements to distances and the game are ongoing. So, if anybody needs to adjust beyond the 5%, they better have a good reason.

Yes, what I was getting at is did you guys notice a difference in distances while you played on your opti shots? If so how did you deal with them?Originally posted by Bubba22 View PostMost of us have owned the Optishot an P3Pro. Putting on the ProTee an TGC is hard but not impossible. The Optishot putting is easier for sure.

Yes I already did that. Been using the high definition golf simulator on the weekends and I find that to be the most accurate. Will get the video from my buddy hopefully this weekendOriginally posted by Zmax View Post
Willy,
Maybe just post a video of you on a Trackman or GC2 showing your swing and ball data with carry at the same time. Perhaps this will silence the critics once and for all. It sounds like your settings at 100 are accurate for you but not for most guys?

What was your experience with swing speeds and distances when you used the Opti Shot?
That was 4 years. I do remember having to make adjustments but don't remember the exact setting. Besides, the software has changed a lot I would think. Another thing I remember were the inconsistent face readings for irons.

I had the original version. Initially, it showed my normal swing speed. In one of the updates, the swing speeds all dropped by 8-10 mph.Originally posted by Aurincoynen View PostWOW. That's a lot. Yes. For me the distances were too far. I can't remember the exact adjustments but I needed to throttle it down.Originally posted by Buckeye View Post
