Im not criticising him for doing that, thats within our rules, i just think he wouldnt play that shot in real life. We are playing these courses like tour pros and thats well playstation stuff. Im happy to continue like this, but ppl have to admit thats what we are doing.
I agree with you again, Players just need to do the right thing, and we need to trust them, unless we plan on requiring swing speed results..

Might be able to get a used system for $3K with ProTee/TGC software.

The ProTee league will not be switching to e6 cloud. TGC is so much better!

My aim while offline playing was to keep it near my real life playing and distances and in tournament I kept this settings. Otherwise we can buy Wiis ore Playstations... Or play on the tour... ;-)
But I can live with my position on the leaderboard... Anyone else? ;-)

Never hit on an optishot but, the scoring is insane from what we score on the gc2 / protee software. Not sure how realistic it can be made from your settings but, it looks more like golden tee or a playstation game.

The scores are high partly because of the way they do handicaps in this league, its by design. Funny thread to read and tough spot for the organizers to be in. Some guys seem to have lots of clubhead speed. Would be interesting to get a GC2 setup on some of these guys and see how far offline these balls are going. Seriously though, you guys should join us!

I need to hit on one of these optishots and see what my swingspeed would be. Maybe I'll trade my gc2 in for one. Hogan can't hit it pass the red tees on the GC2 unlike me I hit it pass there most of the time.

I'm glad to see interest in this topic. I have said it before , There are many factors that can change your clubhead speed with the optishot. (Thicker than stock turf, lighting, taping your clubs, etc) One big problem with the optishot is if you top or clip the ball thin , the clubhead does not slow down enough and gives a faster speed than you should have had. On the flip side, if you hit down on a mid to short iron into thick turf you will lose clubhead speed and accuracy because the club digs in the turf and slows down and can twist enough to affect your shot.

We cannot expect this 400 dollar device to replicate real golf with just clubhead sensors but if you really know your distances and ball flight IRL , everyone has the option to tweak and fine tune the software to make it as real as you can.
It's been said before but look at our General Catman ! He is not the tours longest hitter but man can he make birdies and hit the ball straight !
Happy new year to you all and play well this week 👍

                            Cheers

I am all in favor of our Optishot settings being as close to real life as possible. With my lighting and mat, I have mine set extremely close. All of my irons are +- 3 yards. I do occasionally get longer or shorter distances on what I think are "normal" swings. My 3 wood is also very close. My Driver swing speed is also close. On Optishot, I typically see swing speeds 102-108. That is what i see in real life. I verified the numbers this week on a Trackman. I was seeing swing speeds in the 101-106 range. However, Optishot can't see the ball spin, so it is more generous with distances. So, to try to achieve real life distances I have to adjust my distance down.
The other aspect that helps our scores be better on Optishot is the lies. On our mats, all of our shots are from perfectly lies. That doesn't happen a lot in the real world.

I agree lets make it real, handicap system will do the rest....... Every Player should honestly evaluate there distance and adjust to real life distance with No Wind on Normal F\W, No elevation and call it good....
