I have setup my protee system with 2 cameras with TGC but I am having a unique problem I haven't seen mentioned on the forum. About 3 or 4 times per round I hit a low-launch angle shot (caused by hitting higher than ideal on the ball) and upon launch, the software freezes. I have to use ctrl-alt-del and close TGC from the windows task manager and restart TGC. As this happens multiple time per round it is a serious hurdle and completely prevents any possibility of online tournaments. Has anyone encountered this before? I assume it has to do with how the interface handles mis-reads on the v-cam, or perhaps it is caused by the v-cam reading a flat or negative slope? Any thoughts?

        Eric,

This is a very strange problem. TGC should not hang or crash because of a "bad" shot. We never heard of this before so we will need to investigate the problem.

Can you send us some log files and also a screenshot of the interface main screen after you closed TGC?

Has anyone seen this on their online store? https://www.swingsense.com/en/

It says Protee TGC for $2995. Does that mean Protee Base System with TGC software but without Protee software? Does that include the putting sensors?

I would say no to the putting sensor. You can always putt from the sensor mat.

              Bubba, thanks for your reply.

What do you think of that deal? I read that you are an advocate of protee and TGC. Would I be missing much without the protee software? I was leaning towards a ST but am now leaning towards a simulator b/c I can see myself getting bored with just a driving range. Also, would I be missing much without the protee putting sensor?

I am getting a TON of false shots. Sometimes when I put a ball on the hitting area, sometimes when I do nothing at all...

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

                Thanks!

Try clicking Factory Defaults on the Settings Screen in the interface. This will reset the Audio detection settings.

On the same screen you find a switch called "Use audio analyses". Make sure its set ON.

One thing I found is if you're playing music while you golf or if there is a bunch of people talking loud you will get a lot of shots that register with the first shadow on the sensors. I moved my speakers away from the hitting area to the back of the room. That helped. But not much you can do when someone is having fun. You just deal with it.

Not sure I can live without the music!!! I'll try turning it down a bit. I also increased the audio sensitivity for regular clubs (from 6db to 12db). The "use audio analyses" was set to off and I've now changed it. Hope this helps.

                      Thanks for the tips!!!

****UPDATE: I just hit a ton of balls, and did things I was previously afraid to do (like make a shadow over the mat). I had zero false shots.

                      THANK YOU!

The deal is great. It will give you club data. TGC is great. The ST would also be good. I recommend both as they will hopefully soon be integrated and that will allow for club and ball data.
