Bill Gates's Protee? LOL... I would only buy this after looking over everything and using local pickup. It's a full system that was professionally installed. Must have costed about $25K. If it's all in good condition, offer $5-6K.

My thought exactly. Smart business.Originally posted by "John" post=1046My guess that this is to gauge the market. Sales may be slow, so they watch to see where the action is on price point. This is a wild guess, and not based on anything other than speculation.

Hey zmax, I just registered here on the forum. Been lurking around in the shadows here for a while making sure I had everything set to make a purchase. I am the one who picked up that simulator, felt like it was a pretty good deal too. Looking forward to being able to contribute to the forum when it arrives. Thanks to everyone for all the info that they provide here, it has been a huge help.

Congrats 775golf! I had a very watchful eye up until the bid went above the $4000 range.
I currently have a pretty sweet setup with the Optishot but anyone who's played it knows it has its flaws (launch angle assumption, laughable putting, sad software engineering, etc...). I'm looking to upgrade to the ProTee and saw this on their website http://www.protee-united.com/golfsimulator/upgrade. Their page says upgrading from a competitor drops starting price to $4,499--which is the best deal I've seen. Does anyone have any experience with this upgrade deal?
