I played the first 6 holes of this course this weekend... awful course. Not looking forward to it.

Well, that doesn't sound good. Are the greens and pins fair? The courses over 7000 yards need to be matched up with relatively benign greens since there will be a lot fewer GIR. Either way though.......still enjoy putting the peg in the turf.

If I recall correctly every time I got to see the grids on the greens there were LOTS of colors and lines moving fast, so take from that what you will.

The greens are terrible on this course. Perhaps next time we play this one, somebody will have ProTeeized it....... Greens are crazy tough.

You guys have killed all excitement for Monday, so thanks for that. I haven't yet gotten over the mental agony of Sawgrass.

I should get an award for the most trees hit. I must have damaged 20 of them today

Course is rough for sure. Got through the first round but lost interest pretty quick. Hacked through it just to get it overwith. Tight fairways and really hard greens. I'd be happy to never see this course again

Crazy round. I can attest that the greens and pin placements were absolutely brutal. Green sizes seems pretty smallish as well given a 7000+ course. I honestly had one of my best ball striking rounds but it just seemed like the greens would bounce like no other and had no stopping ability leading to a ton of chipping. Had 3 train wreck holes where I went +9 in the stretch. After a +10 on the front, I settled in a bit on the back 9 to shoot +2. Overall, hate the course. Lol

I played 9 practice holes on this one earlier, it's certainly one where you have to giggle a bit. How bout that fairway on #6? 😂

Features a 250+ yard par 3! This will be one where you need a sense of humor, turn the music up, and try to get through it quickly.

This one is something for sure, it just ain't Colonial. BTW, if searching to play a practice round you need to search Colonial Country Club instead of Colonial Golf Club.

By the sound of it, I may be skipping this one. I'm still afraid I may have bent a few clubs after sawgrass....

Does anyone play these courses before they're picked?

We played this one quite some time ago. I don't remember anyone that had an issue other than the greens They all can't be easy. Last Friday IRL, I played a course that had some tough greens. I had a 25 footer and I was on the lower tier (about 16" ) If I went by the hole by more than 7 feet I was going down another 12". My first putt made it to the top of the tier but then rolled back to me and gave me a 30 foot putt for my next one. I 4 putted to a double bogey. We don't have much to pick from for this course.

None of them are easy for me, lol. I was just wondering if anyone actually gave them a look before they were picked for sim play. 7000 yards itself is just a chore that I would never take on IRL unless I had no choice and I was at Augusta or something.

Only thing missing on these greens were a windmill and a clowns face...... terrible course .

Greens alone I didn't/don't have an issue with as a "tough greens week". The problem lies when you combine the smallish and crazy sloping greens with length. I just couldn't get the greens to hold anything either. I hit a moon ball with a PW and it landed middle of green and bounded over. That's not happening IRL. But it sounds we didn't have a lot of options for this course so at the end of the day.....I still enjoy the work you guys do in selecting and testing most all the courses for playability.
