I feel like this was discussed a while back.. but with probably 95% of folks on here having years of golfing experience and a very low handicap, has there been consideration in anyone starting/setting up a league for folks who are new to golf but got bit by the bug early and have a sim? I would love to have a group to play courses with regularly who are also new to the sport and are (obviously) a very high handicap...

I think it's a great idea. I have the dream setup, being able to play the same course as the world's best are playing week to week. The only downside is a good sim shows you just how far behind you are, especially when you see them rip it up like the Canadian. I kept thinking I was not hearing right as IBF kept saying is a tough course and all I saw were wedges to a few feet and mid irons to par fives.
Personally I don't have a problem with the pro tour, the majority of us are 10-25 shots be behind the good guys every round, but that doesn't bother me. I would like a bit more social and support around the whole tour, and this forum is a great start for that, but I think a lot of people like to just get out there and play.

I wholeheartedly agree - I'm not a noob, I'm just rubbish and playing some of the low-handicappers is just soul destroying sometimes.
I've been bitten by the designer in TGC and have been designing courses that I would like to play - no big, booming drive to actually get to the fairway, openish fairways, but holes you have to think about with different challenges depending on where you put your tee shot.
So, yes, would love a tour where you can only play if you're say +16 or higher

It would be nice if ProTee could endorse it, would make it much better if the scores and leaderboards automatically synced with the forum here.
What courses are you planning, just the similar ones to the PGA, or a list of courses that is easier and more fun? What about following the courses of the Web.com tour?

This would be SO AWESOME!! I love playing on TGC but don't get the "social experience" those do on the tour and honestly just don't feel comfortable playing with folks who are so much better than me...Originally posted by ProTee United View PostSure we can run a newbie tour and post scoring here. Findout if there is enough interest.
Maybe we start a list guys?

Anyone else interested? Even if we had 10 guys on board it would be awesome!

Hmmm so tried Q school with the first of 2 courses (played through twice) and man was it UGLY.. Guess my experiences here IRL have been on pretty open courses with little penalty for being off in your approaches - not so much with that course as I found the sand many many times.... Oh well - I have A LOT to learn on sim play - putting is all over the place, bump and runs are ugly thus far and when I do have a bad swing on my hitting mat MAN does it result in a mess!
Finished with like a 113 on my first attempt and a 102 on my second I believe... Hoping to be under a 100 though after I get more used to it. Skytrak is acting up on me as of late - I would say at least 1 of every 3 putts is a no-read as is about 1 in every 5 or 6 strokes from tee box or approach shot.
