That's interesting as I wondered the same thing myself. I played a practice round and was experimenting with these shot types and at the time it felt like I was seeing the backspin when getting out of those other modes.. my swing is inconsistent enough that maybe it was coincidence.

That is one heck of a placebo effect if true and I'll forget we ever had this discussion!

Just curious, how do I have a -36 handicap? I have notice a few others with this same handicap. Is it something I need to do first, maybe Q school? I am a 9 in real life and I think the game has me at an average of 10 over. Thanks in advance.

It looks like you didn't have shot recording on for your first round, which will default you to -36. Your second round showed up though in recorded shots, so the next tournament you will be at 0. Then after 5 rounds, either tournaments or Q school, you will get a real handicap. Handicaps update on Tuesdays, so you could do Q school this weekend and have a handicap for next week's tournament.

handicaps are adjusted to -36 for the following reasons:
        -too many rewinds
        -not having shot recording on
        -mistake in system

All can be corrected easily once the issue is corrected. PM me for questions.

Thanks for the info. I did have shot recording on for the first round but for whatever reason it didn’t take. I rebooted my computer between rounds so I’m sure that was it. I played better the second round anyway. Hopefully that is evidence that I wasn’t cheating with my sweet sweet 85. Ha.

All of the things such as changing ball flight or chip or pitch are disabled in the SIM version. You will get exactly what your does with a few exceptions. They are:

      -putting mode removes all spin
-being in the heavy rough is usually about a full club or a little more
-light rough is minor distance reduction
-sand beyond 40 yards is the same as light rough
-sand shorter than 40 yards is 40% reduction in distance

Good to the number of players entering tournaments trending well. Anyone know the record for completed entries? Out of interest is There any other TGC SIM tours? Or is this the entire population right now?

I think when I started the tour the leader board was about 3 pages. I would have to say the skytrak device is changing SIM golf. Do they sell the skytrak in Japan? I believe SIM golf has been popular over there for a while, the simulator are 20 to 40 thousand.
