I might give it a try tonight if I find the time. Don't mind playing tough long courses and high scores. The only thing that gets me really worked up is 4 or 5 putts on crazy greens.

There were a few greens where I felt the inverted saucer shape was over done... like your ball rolls off a 3 foot cliff.

Ok that was interesting lol. Long courses are not for me. I thought I had to hit it 110% which screwed up everything. Well after being 20 over after 10 of my first round I just used it for practice. Can't remember which hole but one of the paar 4s the the trees where hanging over along both sides of narrow fairway. You really need to have accuracy and lenght for this beast. Also some of the greens I 2 putted but chipped 4 times on and it rolled off the other side. lol What a day.

Decided to have a go tonight, scored better than I thought. Was as expected to 7, +7, then went even over the next 10 holes, and had 2 putts to finish it at +7, but 4 putted the last stupidly.

I was dreading playing this course. But honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Two triples and a quad killed me.

EDIT: The second round was that bad. Quit after 12.

I did not mind the distance but these greens are sketchy to me. Too many of them fall off a cliff on the sides and too much break on nearly every single pin. Most hlles you are lucky to make a 7 footer without getting lucky with 3 or 4 feet of break.

Also, the 15 foot high bunkers on 17 and 18 are a no-go for SkyTrak users. I took 6 or 7 swings to get out of 17 before the mercy rule kicked in.. you just can't hit a 15 foot high shot when you are only 15 yards from the flag.

Didn't mind the course. If I hadn't choked down the stretch with triples on the last two holes, would have broken 100. Which for a bogey golf hack like me would have considered a good day. Doesn't matter if the course is 7200 or 6200 yards, when you're battling the trees off the tee and usually miss the greens with an uncontrollable hook with either a 7 iron or a hybrid my score doesn't fluctuate that much. Today's round was helped out with 3 chip ins and a crazy 34 foot putt that went over two different mounds and then somehow broke hard left in to the hole.

Sign me up for never playing this course again. Didn't mind the yardage, but this was not a realistic course by any means. The elevated 2nd story greens were ridiculous. I had a few sand trap shots where I couldn't get out with a 39 degree launch. Played a few unplayables to move myself backwards. Did a few rewinds which I admit were more out of frustration, but better than breaking a club.

I am hoping that multiple tees on the next version of TGC will help us maintain a 6200-6400 range of courses. Also, with the license deal accurate playing as well. TGC was the first attempt of a SIM golf and is pretty good for version 1.... I think version two will really be great...perfect..of course not....but much better yes. I just hope is here for the winter tour. At least for me I have about 5 courses I play on TGC which are really good.

Quit after about 12. 245 yard par 3's and numerous 480 yard par 4 holes. Just way too long for me to play 2 rounds.. I'll try again next week but that's gonna be even longer so I doubt it.

I enjoy playing courses that the PGA plays...but this one didn't feel well built. I don't want to sound like a course snob...but I guess I am. Muirfield doesn't look much better. I would prefer if there is not a great recreation of the real thing that is visually appealing and sim friendly to play a different course. I know there were so many great courses by some of the great designers out there...not all built for TGC Tours (which because the consoles were so easy, are built incredibly tough for a sim player).

I much prefer a visually appealing course I guess. Love playing and competing, this is my first full season. mthunt wont be able to please everyone ever much less every time. I appreciate all the effort that goes into buiding courses, play testing and admin work behind the scenes to keep things going! Much love...

I’ve played Murifild and walked the memorial 10 times. The course is super accurate.
