So! Finished my first event and a lot has been learnt. 1st off spell your nick name right in TGC 1st of all. 2nd DO NOT and I say again...DO NOT go right of the 5th green on the beach at the bottom of the cliff. I lost so many shots down there I just couldn't get it up. Each round off the tee I went down there...depressing. I think I might have not played the right shot from DOWN THERE!

I've just looked at the leaderboard but I cant see anyof my shot data. Does this mean Shot recording is still not set up properly? ProTee United any idea please?

Seems like a lot of people are shooting well on this course! Probably because of the yardage, but honestly, as a 60 year old golfer, this is more my speed! I've had to lay off the tournament play for a while due to various injuries, but I'm finally healthy and have brand new clubs to mess around with. Even though I'm not the greatest, these tournaments are a lot of fun to compete in!

I do hate ghost players kicking my ass though!

I take it the GIR stat doesn't work when the approach shot was within gimmie? I've alot of birdies with la lack of GIR

I think it's always like that. I always have to figure my gir out. Excellent golf dg1983. What do you use R Motion?

Skytrak here, how come? Will I could justify a GC2 with HMT but alas I cannot!

Well, that was a horrible first round for me. 2 more rounds to get out of the cellar! Fun course and definitely one to go low on, but not with the way I was playing today.

I got screwed on one hole. Stuck down on the beach against the upslope. Took a 12 on that hole, 8 over. Final score of round 1. 8 over.

There are a few courses hostile to SkyTrak users.. Pebble Beach being one of them. I learned my lesson previously and avoid those tall bunkers/beach at all cost.. even when it means being 20 yards offline.

I had a 9 iron in my hand, didn't think I had a chance of doing that.

take an unplayable lie. I had the same thing happen to me. Got away from it with a 7 thankfully. I've tried too many times to get a ball back up from those beaches.

Good lord! I shoot an 87 first round (most of that on one hole), new Rogue woods arrive the next day, play my second round and shoot a 74??? Holy crap! Haven't been on so many greens in regulation in a long time! (OK, maybe not "on the green" but it was on until it rolled into the fringe!) You gotta hit some major backspin to get those balls to stop! I'm loving these new woods though!

Not sure if my skytrak hates this course or the course is screwed but distances were way off. Greens also seemed really slow. Wedges were really off, hit a 58° solid and it would go 70yards, 20 short of my norm. Next hole hit same club, solid again and fly 110. Oh well going to be a rough three rounds.

After a really bad first round, I put together 2 decent rounds. Gotta make sure you play it safe on this course or else big numbers are very easy.

I had a dream start and then kinda choked. Started the tournament with 7 straight birdies but then scrambled for even par from there. I can't handle success

Crap course 😁. Never have played a course where the wedge distances were so inconsistent.

Would have been cool to have played three different courses as it is actually done for the Pebble Beach Pro-am.

What do you mean by "wedge distances being inconsistent"? I was able to hit my wedges on the number for all three rounds.

I’ve played 50 rounds on this course and have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Great course IMO.

Is it just me........ or is anyone else having issues with a lot of lag time in the Game ? I'm on a GC2 and having 45 seconds or so to get a shot to register.

100 km wind gusts outside today, scattering empty recycling bins all over the neighbourhood, and me inside a warm garage golfing on pebble beach - gotta love sim golf

Did you find my blue bin? Return it please. Crazy windy and icy in Oakville.

never seen anything like it before. Icy road and heavy winds in whitby - bins were just flying down the street :-)
Got mine back but only because I had some some duct tape plastered on them to keep them together so I knew they were mine
Note to self, when, if I get some new ones, I will write my address on them
Didn't see yours, but I could have scooped up two for you from my street if I had known earlier :-)

Well, pretty sure I have re-fractured the hook of the hamate bone. Need to find a good Orthopedic surgeon willing to remove it. Been struggling with pain there for over 2 years now. In a cast for 12 weeks last year. Posting this in here because the pain worsened greatly during this tournament. Looks like no golf for me for another 6 weeks at least. I just want to have surgery and get it healed. First realized there was significant damage after I went from carrying a driver 280+ to maybe 240. Talk about a kick in the nuts. 3 Doctors diagnosed with tendonitis before I demanded an MRI which revealed the fracture. If anyone has pain in the lead hand on the pinkie side, in the wrist area. Go see a hand specialist an tell them to take a carpal view x-ray or an MRI. Doctors are evidently notorious for misdiagnosing this injury. I would also recommend surgery. After months of research on this type of Injury, I have learned that the best option is surgery. I found comments from a Dr that stated he had never seen someone heal this bone with a cast, it always is removed or it will break again. I found out the hard way.

Sorry to hear that, longhornlove. I know how much it sucks knowing that you won't be able to play for a while. Is the injury in your hand solely due to golf, or was there something else that contributed?

I believe it started as a stress fracture from golf approximately 2 years ago. The first time I actually felt pain in that spot was bench pressing 85lb dumbbells. Didn't think much of it for months but the pain got progressively worse over time from golf. I was steadily loosing club head speed but slow enough that I thought it was mechanics at first, then tendonitis. Started loosing strength in my pinkie and ring fingers was the first indication that I had an injury. I went from 110-115mph mph club head speed with my driver down to struggling to break 100 over about a 12-18 month period. I can bring in screenshots from the tour site. I looked trying to figure things out.

Didn't show up but I went and looked, In 2nd Qtr 2017 I was carrying some drives over 290 with 160-165 mph ball speed. I remember during the Valero where I believe I finished top 3 I drove it really well.
