HOW TO PLAY
From the main menu select PLAY-> PLAY TOUR -> ALL TOURS -> SET FILTER TO PUBLIC COMPETITIONS

You can play by yourself, offline with friends or ghost players or online.

1/2 are worth playing? That is generous. My guess is only about 5-10% are worth playing but that is still between 5-10k courses so we should be good. Also I think most of the new courses that get added are worth playing. The key is maintaining lists and databases. With more users coming online it makes it easier for us to keep solid lists.

Ks-man. I guess I failed at sarcasm. I was pointed out that if 1/2 were good, we only have 46000 to play. I don't even think that I have tried 100 of them yet. Out of all of the courses that I have played. I have saved about 1/2 of them in my favorites to play again. A little more than 1/2 of the tournament course, I will play again. Currently I don't get too much variety as I usually try to get 5 practice rounds in prior to playing the tournament rounds. I only failed to finish one or two of them because they were poorly done or I didn't like them. Are you the guy with the list? If so, thanks as I have tried a couple of courses based on your list. I usually don't play courses that have no sim plays. Also most of the HB official courses are pretty good. I don't mind a long course.

Anybody else experienced limited bandwidth on Friday night Pacific time 8-11pm? Much delayed ball flight, frozen dots on green, and frozen screen, period, all with constant blinking transmission singnal. I restarted 4-5 times before finishing the 2nd round of Honda Classic. Took me 3+ hours for 1 round, the game does not always pick up where I restarted, and I did not see my record on the Honda leader board. The stuttering play really messes up the game. Hope I don't have to re-do it.

Played my first round tonight and holy crap you guys were right with the water. It felt like I was dodging bullets on every single shot. Could only dodge so many before it caught up to me. Score was overall not terrible but was doing well on the front 9 before the water balls finally got me on the back haha. Super fun seeing all you guys on the scoreboard, playing some of your ghost balls and mostly....... finally being a part of it!

Hey guys, sorry if this is not the correct place to post this. I have gone through the stickies (some seem out of date). Trying to get started with this tour.

I am in Q School tournament now, hope to complete that today, then play the Honda on Saturday.

Some noob questions:
1) I registered at MyOnlineGolfTour.com, is that actually needed for anything?

2) My username at MyOnlineGolfTour (and this forum) differs from my TGC nickname..how do I correlate the 2? Do i need to change my TGC player name?

3) Do I need to do anything else except just join the honda tour and play it? Do I need to manually post my score to a website? I used to play TGCTours long ago, and we had to manually sign a scorecard on thier site. Not sure if that is the same here.

Make sure you have your handicap before you start playing a tour.

The account on MyOnlineGolfTour.com is needed for the system to recognize you, so make sure your MyOnlineGolfTour.com account matches your TGC screen name.

After that you just get your rounds in. No need for you to do anything manually.

At some point everything will be fully automated ;-)

If I change my name now in TGC, will I need to complete Q School again with the new name? I think I have 3 or 4 rounds complete under my current TGC nickname "Jeff".

Changing your name has no effect on your account, handicap and scoring.

I think this is a great course, really tough but good. With all the water, it's one of the few sim courses that really make you pay for errant shots, so in my mind it comes close to replicating a real round of golf.

Another reality bites for me. First off I did not notice for three holes that I was set up as right-handed. I forgot to change from when my son was practicing. So everything was a big slice. Then my vcam was not registering correctly. After all that got fixed I did not play any better. +21 on the round. Putting was woeful as well.
Looking forward to next week.

First tour event I played! I only finished 2 rounds of Q School and decided to play the Honda. So assuming I won't have a handicap for this tournament but wanted to join in. Tough course. The greens were tricky. Lots of shots would hit the green and then they would roll off the edge into the fringe. Course kicked my butt! Had fun playing it though! Looking forward to the Spring Tour!
