Got my first round in last night and had fun! Since I still need 2 more rounds in q school does this mean I play to scratch? What if I finish a school before I play my 2nd round?

When playing a practice round and you are facing a tough putt....maybe 20-40 feet or so. Turn on Autorewind and putt away. This is really helpful to get used to putting when on a different tier. I made a short video that shows all putts from 3 or 4 rounds. You can get an idea of how much break to give it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqtFoBTyGHA

Your HC index in the game will only be adjusted if you finish a handicap rated course. Every course in the database shows if its handicap rated or not. TPC Boston in this tour is NOT handicap rated so you can practice and finish the course as many times as you want without affecting your HC index.
Your Tour Handicap is different from your game handicap. We try to match it, but its recalculated on tournament rounds.
So its possible that your game handicap goes up while your tour handicap goes down....

Just went 80-79 on TPC Boston. My handicap is 20 in TGC and 5 in non-sim golf but I am no sandbagger. I read a thread about aiming with the PC rather than with your putter and had a major breakthrough today.

Once you get used to putting, your handicap will go down. On putts longer than 12 feet or putts with a lot of break, I aim with the PC. Shorter putts I just aim the appropriate amount of distance off center. Sometimes when I am in a hurry, I don't aim with the PC or mouse at all. When I bought the sim, I always thought that putting would suck. It is actually one of the best things about the sim thanks to TGC. Red Chain and E6 (played the demo about 6 times) aren't nearly as realistic. For those that feel TGC putting is not realistic, in time you will change your mind.

Not sure what my handicap is after last week, but I'm definitely gonna look like a sandbagger this week. I think I finally figured out short chips and putting. Just went 78-70. If these scores even slightly transfer to the real course, then building a sim will be the best investment I've ever made.

I am golfing in Mexico in about 4 weeks. Since my last round IRL, my handicap has dropped about 7 strokes in the game. IRL my handicap has always been 5-10 strokes higher. I will post my real life scores when I get back.

Nice. Enjoy it. I live in the chicago area and got out a couple times in February. It was tough to judge improvement since both times I was fighting 20+mph winds.Last edited by SwingHarder; 03-06-2016, 02:01 AM.
