Hope to get my rounds in tomorrow. Had to take a few days off. Got trigger finger in my bottom hand pinky finger from interlocking and gripping hard. Looking forward to a better showing!

Yeah surprised we haven't seen any comments about this week's tournament. I'm hoping to play a practice round tonight after the city commission meeting I have to cover.

It was another long track, but very playable. It was easily the best chipping i've had in any tournament so far.

I finished two practice rounds. One of them with Autorewinds to help with club selection and such. The second round I recorded. I like this course. Approach shots seem to stick the green better. Much more closer to real life greens. What do you think of webcam angle. I kind of like the on the floor directly behind the ball. I had a crazy shot that I had to rewind. I was putting about 60 feet uphill 3 feet. So I am trying to putt about 100 feet. It picked up my putter and shot it about 60 yards. Watch the video in chrome or windows 10 to take advantage of the 60 FPS.

I enjoyed the course a lot. This was my first time playing it even though I had read good things over on the HB forums. It's tough but fair, not tough and goofy like some of the less accurate real course re-creations out there. Might be a hair long for some people's taste, but it's a very well designed re-creation of Clemson's home course.

I liked the course as well, but did anyone feel the heavy rough was more penalizing than usual?

I know the tour has this set to constant percentages but I felt like I had to play every heavy rough shot 20-30% longer.

Definitely agree with that assessment exactly, this was a well made course. Played a practice round yesterday, didn't play great but felt it was very fair.

Ps- I tried hard to catch you in the gross scores last week, but just couldn't close the gap at the end, was fun chasing your ghost ball though haha

Great video, I like that angle where you can still see the whole screen too. Was actually thinking about starting to record my rounds as well. I just want that view of the screen but still being able to see my whole body and swing for analysis reasons as well. Not a crazy ton of room to the back of the garage though so if anyone has a decent idea on a wide view camera or something I'd be interested.

Also I'm gonna need to you too start hitting your driver more off these tees and leave the 3 wood in the bag haha, you are absolutely bombing those drives and straight as well! Not to say you aren't accurate with the wood, but why not take the extra 20-30 yards. I'm surprised how low the ball flight is on the iron shots with how powerful your swing is, your accuracy and spin just makes it very controllable it seems though. Love the ball flight on the driver, curious what driver and degree do you use? (I know each swing is different and better to be fitted and all, but just curious)

And that putt on the 12 was hilarious haha

I hit down on the ball quite a bit with my irons. I have a 10.5 driver but hit the ball with a low LA. My driver is my biggest improvement over the winter. I was shocked this spring after 4 rounds, I am almost 70% FIR's IRL. The reason I was hitting 3 hybrid and the odd iron is that I am currently better from 130-150 than 60-80 yards.
I have a GSA CX2 system with no club data. I have spent many trips to the driving range and Golftown's GC2 to verify that what I am seeing is pretty accurate. The tough part is that there is a general spin adjustment. I have it set at maximum. At that setting my mid irons are pretty accurate for spin. My short irons don't have enough and my driver has too much. If I turn the spin down, my driver is more accurate but my chance for holding a green is slim to none. IRL I get a lot of roll from my 4 iron to my driver and I don't have a problem sticking my 8 iron to SW. My system has a plethora of settings to help a guy duplicate his real life game. It would be better if I had club data though or at least spin adjust per club. My webcam was 6 or 7 feet behind the tee if that helps. Make sure you buy one with autofocus. I have used the webcam at ball level..... that is a neat angle too.

Was a bit of a struggle for me. Hoping to pick things up for the second round.

I am finally back after 2 months taking care of my ailing mother, (all is good now). My first round went about average. This course actually reminded me of my home course at The Coeur d'Alene resort without the floating green. I found that my putting was erratic. I have played outside a few times and my putts were rolling past the hole toooo far. I should be better for round 2.

That's interesting how the gsa cx2 system works, I remember reading a bit about it while looking into all the sim options I could have. It's a little annoying that the spin rates are generalized but as long as you saw the same ball flights and accuracy left to right on the gc2 and most importantly in real life that's all that matters and you can trust what you are working on.

That makes sense if you were playing to a certain yardage each time. That 40 to 80 yard range have been my biggest practice point lately. If you can get that range down with those drives, you'll be absolutely killing it

That is useful info with how far back you have the camera, I'll probably have maybe 6 feet behind the tee, so know where I need to work from and maybe what types of webcams to look at. Didn't think about the autofocus being a big issues before, but now that I think about it, when I recorded a bit with my phone the focus was coming in and out a bunch. So may have to find a feature or camera that will minimize that but still be able to adjust when needed. Not trying to break the bank with this but I'll do a little research and see what my options are.
