Got in my two rounds at Congressional before my vacation

First Round - 81

I completed a few rounds of the Q-school, as well as a few other rounds on handicap courses and my final handicap ended up being an 18.6. I have no idea how I got this handicap. I had one terrible round at Tomahawk where I shot like 15 over par (brutal course for me) but the other rounds were all low 70's I thought. Shot One-over par in my first round at congressional in the quicken loan tournament (a course near and dear to my heart that's extremely well done in TGC in my opinion). Now my handicap is like 16. That's way too high. Any idea why? It's possible that my son played a round on one of the kids courses that would have counted against my handicap but i'm not sure how to check that. I did rewind 2 shots in my round at Congressional - one because my youngest son wacked a putt when I wasn't looking lol. The other was a short chip from about 5 yards. I turned off the chipping "helper" in the settings and I sat there and hit that chip about 10 times without registering. I finally just got mad and wacked one over the green. Shut down the game, changed the setting and tried again. Hopefully Skytrak can fix this issue as it plagues all of the games in my opinion.

Just finished my first round of playing in one of these events. I think I have last place wrapped up. I am having a difficult time with tee shots and pulling all to the left. In real play OK. Not blaming skytrak at all. I can tell by where the ball hits the net I pulled. Not one in the fairway. OH well, round two hopefully will be better.

Keep practicing. Before I started using the sim, I hit about 10-20% of the fairways. Hitting a fairway was cause for celebration. I now hit over 70% in TGC and about 60% IRL. Most that I miss IRL are due to me lining up incorrectly. I hit most of my drives fairly straight. I fade the odd one when I get lazy.

Just knocked out my first round. Didn't do terrible, but I feel I could have done at least 5 strokes better.

I've been working hard on straightening my slice and have turned it into a fade which I hit a lot this weekend IRL. In fact I drove the ball so well IRL that I shot my personal best 85. But, today, I started drawing the ball when I was playing my fade. Forced me to scramble a few holes haha.

Question for skytrak users....does anyone else have a problem with shocking when they touch their computer? I've been having a serious problem with it and it's causing my box to disconnect. I reconnect it, but it's annoying. I try to discharge the static electricity by touching something else first but it doesn't work?

First thing is make sure that the computer is off the carpet or tile. Put it on a small stand or even a piece of wood. Secondly, static electricity builds up due to lack of humidity. If you have a humidifier in the house, you will want to turn it up a bit. If you don't, you may want to buy a small one for the room. Static electricity can be extremely harmful to your computer. If you touch the back panel where everything is plugged in, the charge could possibly damage the computer. If you are carrying a charge it is better not to touch your computer at all. Certain towers have more metal in them than others. So touching the computer at all while carrying a charge is a bad idea. Hard drives, motherboards, memory and CPU's are all easily damaged by static electricity.

First, glad you are back from the medical issue and congrats on the good rounds. My 2nd rpound was 6 shots better but still my score was high. I did find some fairways on the back nine and played the last 4 holes well - par on the last hole. The course is very nice....

Just shot my best round. 75. only four bogies. Chipping was on today. I was 2 over until the last 2 holes and I played not to lose. Lost 2 strokes and I am very happy with that. I had one rewind. My driver head was picked up instead of the ball.
