Wow this course (and admittedly numerous cervezas) just crushed me yesterday. Is it just me or does this course just look weird like not 3d texture and bunker wise? Not a fan of this one. Those greens are tiny with some nasty slopes I kept getting on. Bogie train choo choooo

I agree with the look and texture. It looked weird when I picked it but it's pretty accurate to the real course so we went with it. I think it was created when the game first came out.

Lost connection to the server repeatedly yesterday. When I connected found that the last few holes hadn't been saved. I gave up and turned the round into a practice round with plenty of rewinds. I mention this only because I voted to turn off rewinds. The round was not particularly good in any event.

I havent played yet, but found this hole by hole guide on the greenbrier website. Might be handy if the TGC version is close to accurate.

Played the first 10 holes. Definitely challenging and a little goofy at times but seemed cool.

                Tight fairways for sure.

Thanks man. I like looking at each hole before playing. So far I have been impressed how accurate the sim course are.

if that one is 425 I wonder what the new one will be. Jack, Arnold, Lee and Gary are all working together on a new 8,000 yard new course. To play the new pete dye course at the French lick resort (which is about 50 min away from me) is about 900 dollars plus the fees for a fore caddie. To play the course you have to stay at least on night at the hotel.

Well I played round one tonight without a warmup round. I was able to keep most of my drives in at least playable conditions tonight. That REALLY helped. Finished with a 77 and could have easily been a 73-74. I put a couple of bad swings on the ball that left me in the rough. I tried the calculations tonight and it didn't really help me. I hit what I thought should be "the" shots and one went the distance I thought I needed to hit it with the penalty added, so it went 10 yards long. Then I had another one that ended up 25 yards short. So I'm still clueless how to dial in these shots. Putting for the most part was better tonight. I put the stimp down to a 7. I had a couple of putts that showed like they were edge of the cup and ended up breaking a full cup, which was a surprise. Of course on this long course those are part putts being missed. Left a 12-foot par putt literally on the lip a roll away. Had a couple of approach shots that were close enough for gimme birds tonight, so that was nice. Overall pleased with the round, but I sure wish I could figure out these rough shots.

Another example is I had a 3-wood travel 250-plus yards from heavy rough, which meant I should have hit that shot 215-220 yards. Again overall it was a MUCH more pleasurable experience tonight. Probably going to try to get round two in Thursday night maybe. Don't have city commission, but also got to find some time to get outside and practice for an IRL tournament this weekend.

I'm taking this week off. Been suffering from a lingering case of CCE-Elbow, hoping 1 week off will heal it up.

Ah that stinks. I've been playing on a CCE hitting strip for the last couple of weeks. Haven't had any issues, although I know it's possible from mats. Heal up quick!

Well. That was ugly. EVERYTHING went wrong in that round. Stinks, because my practice rounds were good. I was recording my round for the first time, and shut it off after hole 5 because it was so bad.

                            Maybe next time.
