Boy I was about ready to sell all my equipment and take up chess after the last few days and the first round of this tournament. My game was on life support and the plug was about to be pulled. Thankfully I finally figured out what was going on and against my better judgment I played round two and gave a little faith back to my game. Ended up +5 in round two and it should not have been that bad. Had three double bogies with a couple of water ball penalties in there. One was a shocker, the other not so much. Short game was the best its been in a while. Just had to find my balance again. It was all out of whack. Been playing JNPG trying to wrap up qualifying over there and I had trouble with the putting in round one as it is so much faster over there and I have my TGC dialed down to just a little faster than original. More in line with my IRL course. All in all happy to be back on track, or we shall see on the IRL course tomorrow :-).

I also have to try to squeeze in my rounds today as I am leaving tomorrow for a golf weekend with the hockey team. 3.5 days in the mountains with 36 holes a day.

My first recorded round in a while. Played a really solid round all around and came to the 18th hole at even par. Drove it in the water on 18 which led to a double bogey and a final round of +2. Still played great overall as was pleased to put together two solid rounds. Had 3 or 4 birdies with the same number of bogeys and just that lone double on 18.

My first round (which I thought I had recorded but it didn't save) was also really solid with me at +1 through 16 but two water balls on 17 led to a quad bogey.

I really like that course. Not too long but still challenging with water holes and dog legs. I hit the ball better than I have in a while, but the putting and chipping weren't where they needed to be. A four putt and several three putts combined with hardly any up and downs made my scores worse than they should have been.

One thing I don't get is how TGC decides where to drop when you hit it in the water. I had one approach shot that landed just short of the green and rolled back in the water and it made me rehit from the original spot.

I played a great round for me. I ended with a bummer by putting 2 in the water on 18. Still I managed a +10, 82. Even though I did well the highlight of the round was playing with my 16 yo daughter for the whole round. You have to watch her shot on hole #6 with a 6 iron.

That is a first by any of us IRL or SIM.

16 years old and already knocked the hole in one off the bucket list, a whole lot of jealous people out there on that one haha. But amazing shot!! There was no doubt the hole way with that perfect ball flight. Would have loved to see both of your reactions when it happened live!

Thanks guys. The scene was awesome, almost surreal. She and I were playing and 2 of my sons, both competitive golfers just came in to the sim a shot or 2 earlier. Mid-flight I called "hole-in-one", she just watched and dropped her club and screamed. We all saw it and jumped for joy. Great moment for us to share together. It will be a "remember when" moment.

                    Nice that everyone saw it.

I've had 2 hole in one's in real life. The first one no one saw because my buddies were too busy yakking at each other to even watch my shot! The only believed me when I made them take the ball out of the cup! Lol

finished my first round and shot 90 - hoping to break 90 these days in real and indoor golf. I did have some issues I believe on 8 where I hit a bad shot, the ball landed in the water hazard but where the sand is. Sounds lucky right. Well, there is a wood barrier and I could not get my shot over the wood barrier, the ball was to close. Took an unplayable lie but it put me in the same spot. After about 8 over the game said - I will move you on.

Hope to do better tonight - all great fun. Like the course a lot.
