New Tournament Site (BETA)

As you know we are working on a new Tournament website. Unfortunately we are still working on it and it still needs a lot work, but those who are interested can have a quick look: http://golfsimulatortours.com .

You do not need to login or create a new account. You can click the Player Name on a Leader Board on the tour site to see the scorecards.

Under your profile settings on THIS FORUM you can connect your TGC name to your forum name. If you use the exact name you use in TGC, your Forum Avatar, Biography, Home Course, Current Handicap (real life handicap) and Favorite TGC Course will show on the tour site. Do not change your TGC name in the game...

This is awesome! I think someone already mentioned on the older thread that it gives you a fairway on par 3's. The only other thing that would be nice is if it counted gimmes as a putt. Then you could tell the difference between a chip-in and just getting it within 6 feet. It also looks silly to see people at the top of the leaderboard with 10 putts for 18 holes.

We fixed the PAR3 FIR and added your played events, shot recording (if you have shot recording switched on) and handicap calculation.

I didn't finish my BMW round..... I was rushing and I put 4 into the water and then I went to pause it and accidentally conceded the next hole. Then I realized that I should just walk away for that day. That is a very cool feature though. I do have a couple of duplicate profiles ..... just wondering if I need to change something somewhere? I like how it shows the handicap calculation.

My profile name is ks-man but my TGC name is ksman. I don't think the game allowed me to have a dash. Is there a way that I can merge the two so it recognizes my online profile with my game profile?

Also just checked the World Rankings. So does this mean I can tell people I'm the second ranked golfer in the World? Dustin Johnson who???

Just enter "ksman" your TGC name without the dash in your profile settings here on the forum and its linked.

There is a new field in your FORUM Profile settings called TGC User ID. Copy and paste the USER ID from the TGC settings file. It looks like this: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Turn on Shot Recording=ON in the settings file.

If your TCG Nickname and TGC User ID match, your shots will be recorded and your TOURNAMENT shots will be visible (in real time) on the new tour site.

Where is the TGC settings file found? Is it within the TGC game itself?

It is on the first screen that pops up after you click the TGC icon in the start menu. Normally you click start server an then play. Instead, you have to stop the server connection to enable the settings to be changed.

If you hit multiple balls into the water from the same spot....it does look like rewinds. Not sure how we can indicate that. Maybe have the score for that hole somewhere. If someone pulls a tin cup...... it will look like multiple rewinds when in fact it is just a meltdown. Look at shots 216-213 in my profile. That is where I have 4 in the water and then accidentally concede the next hole while trying to exit...... It was not a good day. I had a round like that on hole #18..... I pulled a tin cup and put 4 or 5 in the water from the same spot..... not allowing concedes during tournaments might save an accidental concede....... which is close to the exit button.

Wow! very cool. Improvement lately has been slow as indicated in the graph. I think that I am at 273 total rounds since last August. Thanks for all of the great improvements to tournament play. I know I can speak for the majority when I say that it's greatly appreciated.

What are the numbers BS (first one)? Ball speed??

HA ? Horizontal angle???

LA launch angle.

SA Side angle??

SS side spin??

BS Back spin?


HA and SA seem to be opposites from positive to negative

BS is Ballspeed in MPH.
HA is Horizontal Angle in DEGREES. Negative is left.
SA is SpinAxis in DEGREES. Negative is left.
SS is SideSpin in RPM. Negative is left.
BS is BackSpin in RPM.

We will add a legend soon...

If you add your TGC User ID (from the settings) to your Forum Profile, you will see your tour shots (when you play a tour) in real time (use page refresh).

Awesome! I got it recording my shots Now I just need to remember to select the right club in software before I hit. If it isn't too difficult, could you add carry distance, total distance, and distance left/right of the target line? It already shows all of those on the post shot screen. Those would be nice to track how far each club goes and track misses.
