New Tournament Site (BETA)

As you know we are working on a new Tournament website. Unfortunately we are still working on it and it still needs a lot work, but those who are interested can have a quick look: http://golfsimulatortours.com .

You do not need to login or create a new account. You can click the Player Name on a Leader Board on the tour site to see the scorecards.

Under your profile settings on THIS FORUM you can connect your TGC name to your forum name. If you use the exact name you use in TGC, your Forum Avatar, Biography, Home Course, Current Handicap (real life handicap) and Favorite TGC Course will show on the tour site. Do not change your TGC name in the game...

Updated my profile but it doesn't look like it recorded my shots last night.

Did I need to stop & start the server after the change? If so, it should work next time I'm sure.

Yes, you need to restart. The configuration file is loaded on startup only.

I have 3 usernames 2 of which I don't use. Fieldygolf is the one I use could you delete Fieldy Golf, Fieldygolg as these were made up ages ago. Also for the tours website I don't seem to remember my sign in details. Could you advise please.

In TGC settings file you will find a User ID and a setting called Shot recording. Set this to ON. Copy the User ID and paste here on the forum in your profile settings. Also in the profile settings set your TGC Nickname (V8burble) exactly as its known in TGC.

looking at the stats board and how does V8burble go consistently with a 15 handicap over months then drops to a seven consistently over the rest of the time, sorry burble just clicking on things and seen it with a couple stats on different players i saw this with keither also where he levels at 5 goes up to 9 for 3 months then down to 4 on handicap you guys are kicking but on the tour but do not understand the HCP variances

yes. looks like my game improved dramatically and then the HCP system caught up to reflect that. I'm playing off 4 on another site too so it's all caught up now and tough tough tough

you guys are pretty consistent and level it was that month of May drop we were talking about I am just new too TGC and the tournaments just absorbing info and did not and understand until the boys at pro tee jumped in and set me straight haha. and thanks to V8 too

V8burble we fixed your 5th premature win on the leaderboard. The leaderboard was also including the running event on which for a brief time you were ranked #1 aka the winner. Thanks for reporting the error!

thank you just was trying to figure out how players with a solid handicap through out months at 14 drops 9 strokes over night to a 5, if its something there eating i want some.

but its all about the same time through charts and you probably introduced that usga system in may because that is when this flow chart really goes different like you said so this makes sense

I have been through the new site up and down. Great job! You could probably link player stats and replays to the players profile as well. I know that I have mentioned this before.....but..... it would be cool if you could watch somebody's complete round by using the replay software. Something to think about for TGC2. It is awesome to see other players score cards. The site is fantastic and its only in beta. I did notice that the color for triple bogey + is the same as bogey on the scorecard.

This site shows the dedication and commitment that Pro-Tee has with TGC. When I bought TGC..... I was on the fence about playing in tournaments.... now I can hardly wait for the next one to start. I spend most of my rounds practicing for the next one. This new site brings more to the experience. Thanks Pro-Tee!!!!

Well said Keither I think what you said speaks loudly for everyone on this forum, I am excited as my first year here with tournament playing, dedication of the players and protee are whats driving my sim build to be ready for this winter and the fun and friendship that I am sure will last a long time. so thanks to protee and all on the forum for the making of TGC2 and this next year of tournaments a success. ok with that being said GAME ON guys lets have fun

Love the new tourney site, have my shots now recording, have my video recording working...now only need to get my swing working and I will be ready for the tour this winter.

Once related question, do any of you guys play together live? How does that work? Do you actually see the other guy hit or just the ball flight (like ghost player)?

Does playing with someone remotely work? Is it buggy or slow?

I have never tried it and had not heard any guys talking about it, so, just wanted to know the status of playing remotely with another player....thanks.

would love to also join up with players to play a round if anyone starts up a group send me an invite to the group or send friend request through TGC and if what is needed to get a game together with a group and we need to SMS my phone number can be given out to text for setting it up.
