Turning on Shot Recording is now part of the rules. Please check your data to make sure that shot recording is working properly. We have had a tour member report phantom putts. At times, an additional putt was added exactly 4 seconds after the first putt. ProTee is looking into the issue. Being that shot recording was only tested by a few, we are bound to discover a few new bugs. I have looked at data from many players over the last couple of days. For the most part Shot recording is working excellent. When checking your data, look for extra shots, missing shots, and that the appropriate fields are being populated. Please help ProTee out and check your data after every round. When reporting issues to ProTee it is helpful to have the shot number and whether it was tour or non tour. It is also helpful to record your round.... this way if you have an issue it is easier to put two and two together. Please remember that rewinds and the use of Autorewind are not permitted during tournament rounds with the exception of an obvious misread by the simulator. Those misreads are usually easy to identify when looking at the data. Sometimes you will see a 0 degree LA or a shot 20 degrees to the left or right. My favorite one is when my system picks up my club head. It will show a driver shot with 28 degrees LA.

Mine is on, but it does not record shots correctly. Sometimes rounds don't start with shot 1, not sure why.

No, That would be good to know. Hole number would be nice to have as well. Another thing that would be nice to have is indication that the ball hit a water hazard. I thought that I found some extra shots in my data..... so I went to the video.... turns out I scored a 10 on that hole with 3 into the water.

The extra shot record has no effect on the scoring. It also does not launch anything. It only creates an extra row in the shot data tables for ProTee users with a putting sensor. Its a complex issue and we are working on a fix. Yeeah!Originally posted by keither5150 View PostWe have had a tour member report phantom putts. In the past, I've definitely used the first tee a couple times, flicked on autorewind to hit a bunch of warm up shots and then continue on after I'm warm, flick it off and continue tournament without any rewinds. I'll not do that.
Also, last night my brother played as a guest with me during the tournament. I let him take rewinds whenever he wanted. Not sure if that shows up, I'll check.
If we can ever get distance hit or even better, a keystroke record when rewind is hit, that would make it very easy to see mulligans.

I know that guest players show up during non tournament rounds. It looks like they don't in tournament round.
-
I also used to warm up on the tournament round...... couple of nine irons, then on to the 8 and 7 and finally a few drives. Now I go to the range.
-
A few tournament rounds ago, I also played back to back rounds and before starting the second one while on the first tee, I hit escape bringing up the menu thinking it would not record any shots and hit a couple wedges and drivers. After the round, when I looked at the data, it was all recorded even though they were not in the game. I would assume this is still the case.

I tried to enable shot recording this weekend (again) and can't get shots to show up. I copied the userID from the settings file into my profile on gsf. Rounds show up without issue. Not sure what I'm doing wrong... Your help is appreciated.

Claiming ignorance... what does shot recording actually do exactly? I'm gonna guess it records shots (before the smartasses chime in haha), but where? Besides turning shot recording=on in the settings file, is there anything else to do?

Do you mean if I hit it out of bounds once a nine I get a mulligan or do you mean if get 1 misread per 9 I'm allowed a mulligan and if I get two misreads I'm SOL?Originally posted by aeroburner View PostWhy can we not just put a mulligan limit by default to this like one per nine for missed shotsMy Courses:

I didn't take it that way..... Does the GC2 ever have a phantom shot with about 20% more distance? I had one during the 3rd round of pebble beach. 10 min mark..... on YouTube. 220 up 42 feet. So I am hitting a 250ish shot and hoping to land in front of the green and roll on. It carries the green which is 240ish plus the 42 feet. I can't hit any club but the driver that far. My shot was well struck and should have been very close if not on the green for an eagle putt. I got a bogey. This happens maybe once in about 300 shots. It is always a very well struck shot. I don't rewind those but I know that some feel that it is justified.

I don't get reads on a GC2 that don't make sense. touch wood.
I have no concerns over sensor systems needing rewinds. I'm just trying to clarify if Aeroburner is suggesting everyone get mulligans when they want them or is he saying there should be a limit for users needing rewinds. It was a clarifying question only.

what i am saying is that some shots are completely justified like you see in a pic above but it could be still used if i chose to do so, some are hit that are off and it was a misread, but that shot was still playable, I can see the green even though it was a misread should this be a rewind, or play through it, i think if you play through it most times it works out fine, but if theres is a limit it might make others work through the challenge, just a thought. it will also lock out guys using shot recording off. My main issue is anyone in the top ten or a person who wins the tournament with shot recording off should be bumped to the bottom as was with last weeks tournament and again with Handa. if there are rules in place there has to be some sort of action on this. I do not think this is fair to the 3 thru 5 place that ran with there recording on.Last edited by aeroburner; 11-24-2016, 10:30 PM.

Question - I have had shot recording turned on for quite some time since I was part of the early beta test.
I played in this week's tournament and looked on the http://golfsimulatortours.com site, but I did not see any of my tournament shots showing in the Recorded Tour Shots. My practice rounds however, showed up in the Recorded Shots (Non-Tour) section.
Anybody have an explanation?

Its back now. You had another player setup: bluestreak ?
-
Thanks!
"bluestreak" was set up for the ShotData site which did not allow me to use my regular nickname "aja" since it was too short.
I would still like to access the Shotdata page, unless of course the tour website is meant to replace it. In that case, please delete "bluestreak".

The tournament site is where you need to go.

Went on expecting to not see any shots recorded on the tour website, but it was recording now. Problem though - it only shows 61 shots, and I shot a 74 or something like that for the first round of this week's tourney. Anybody have an answer for that?
