TGC Tour Match Play Event

We are putting together a TGC match play event. The event will likely have 2 flights. An open and a handicapped flight using TGC tour handicaps. We will be using "Oakland Hills CC (South Course) by Royce Brown" as the course using the shorter version for handicap flight.

Some important notes:
-all matches to be played using "Online Match Play" with "Turn Order" set to "On".
-once assigned a match you have 1 week to play it.
-you need to submit a screen shot of the scorecard after the match
-we will post a sign up board with instructions and rules
-you will need to set the handicap in TGC for the match. Open both will be "0". Handicapped will be assigned at sign up but may change

The match play event will require 1 round per week and have a deminishing field so it'll likely take several weeks and will be in addition to the tour.

For now I need you to reply if you are interested and open or handicap so we can determine interest. Low interest, 1 flight. High, 2.

Will every round be played at Oakland Hills or will it change from week to week? Just curious if this might be an opportunity to work in a course that we don't have on the tour schedule. Something like Fox Chapel or Pittsburgh Field Club (two outstanding RCR)

Let me put this out there. Any good suggestions on a match play course? Something with a lot of go for it opportunities and birdie chances.

Cool, that makes sense. As far as courses go, something like The Belfry would also be great for match play. Anywhere that's hosted a Ryder Cup really would be cool. But The Belfry has kind of that shootout type feel to it rather than a grind it out/ U.S. Open style.

I have been itching to play the Belfry... Anywhere would be fine as long as there is a possibility of crazy hole outs. I would play in either but think a HC matchplay would be more equitable if we can get enough interest in both formats. Matter of fact I would play in both.

Just a heads up. We are experiencing an issue with handicapping in Match Play mode. We are waiting to figure it out before we start the event. We'll likely have it running soon. This only effects the handicapped portion. Stay tuned.
