OK - I had something weird happen with a ball that had some red residue on half of it from hitting the side of my netting that was throwing off my GC2... shots 43, 75, and 76 with my driver showed an extreme duck hook/half my normal ball speed but I know based on my strike that it was solid. Changed balls and it worked. I did rewind as clearly they were not accurate.

Had an awesome couple rounds and even dunked a ball in on 17 from quite a distance... Fun driving course.

I got through a round and a few holes of the second. I like this course quite a bit. I wish I was playing better, struggling with a hook the whole day. Had one rewind, a drive just took off way right and continued slicing right like 100 yards. I'm certain I couldn't reproduce the shot in real life. Otherwise all good, had to stop midway through the second round, my wife decided to invite some friends over.

The friends could have been there to cheer you on. Nothing like the pressure of being watched. You could have finished in 30 more minutes

I saw your post, I would like to get involved in playing with others one if these times. Honestly still new here so I'm not even sure how that all works but I'll keep an eye out for future open invites.

Played both my rounds today. Really liked the course. I had to take a few rewinds because the ball shot while I was aiming. I think my Skytrak was reading white stripes on my pants?

Off topic but I played a great match against your ghost ball at Pebble Beach yesterday morning. You hit a great 3rd shot on 18 for the gimmie birdie to put me away for good. I was chasing 1 going into that hole. Makes it a lot of fun to make it like a competition, it kept me sharp and playing well

I agree, it does make it a lot of fun and adds a bigger element of competition to it!

Opening Rd 77 with a water ball. No real highlights except the last 2 holes that I managed to birdie. Wide open course and good one to play with friends.

If its like other industries.... it will hurt MG, Snell, TM Project (A), and other budget alternatives much stronger than the Big T. If you think about it, ProV1/X users have been paying a premium for years when there has been alternatives that are close. Most MG/Snell/Etc are budget buyers that are buying it because its close to ProV1's at a better price. Those sales will likely evaporate more quickly. I am not sure they have Costco's volume to drop their prices.

The difference this time though is that none of those ever had the kind of buzz that the Costco ball has. Heck even Forbes did a story on it. I don't remember anyone hocking those balls on ebay either. I guess time will tell if they just snuff out the other smaller guys or if they put any kind of dent into Titleist market. The other golf forum thread on this ball is now over 100 pages. Crazy. I guess for us in the northern midwest it doesn't matter, don't think we'll be seeing any grass for sometime now.

True you are right! I have been having non-golfers send me links to stories about Costco golf balls!
