Played both rounds, can't see me, dart fader. Is it me doing something wrong?

Well the roller coaster ride continues. Back down to somewhat normal numbers this morning. Left several shots out there. Had a four-putt on a green that was ridiculous but also holed out a 33 or 37 foot putt for par and then almost drained a 33 foot putt. Can't remember if it was for birdie or par. Had a couple of really poor chips. Didn't hit my driver one time today. Hit my mini-driver. First couple were spot on and then it started going haywire on me. Dialed it back in by the end of the round. Feel like I'm playing well enough to get back into the 70s in round 2, but it's golf :-).

Had a fitting this past weekend that turned into as much of a lesson as it did anything else. Trying to work on changes, but still play, which is difficult to do.

Had a good bogey round going as I was +16 thru 16 and then messed 17 and 18 up. Must of been the pressure.

I didn't realize this week was a major. Had just planned to knock out round 2 and move on to JNPG as I got a busy week ahead, but ended round 2 and John said he was ready to go for round 3 :-). Because I'm competitive I am very disappointed with my scores, but this is a LONG track and the Par 4s are brutal if you aren't long and straight. That being said the Par 5s are VERY scoreable and I poo-pooed everyone of them away. I'm not even sure I had but one legit birdie look. Had a number of par putts that just missed, but again because of the length and my short game being a little off I didn't leave very makable putts either from a percentage standpoint.

Working on a MUCH stronger grip, and I finally seem to have worked that out to where it is somewhat comfortable and normal feeling now. Now I've got to get my swing plane issues worked out. Feeling excited about the coming weeks though. Really thought I was going to get back into the 70s, but I'll take 81, 80, 80 the way I have been playing the last couple of weeks!

Don't be afraid of hole #3 A few months ago, I would have gone straight at it or to the center of the green.

I just finished my first round.... score was good but I had a few terrible shots..... I had a drive (trying to put a big draw on it) that was so bad, it could have passed as a system misread. I was about 40 feet below the fairway in the bush. I managed to get a par though. I am scared to look at the data..... I have zero forgiveness settings so when I mess up.... it is bad. The above video shows how hole #3 should be played.... during my round I was over 65 feet away.... exactly where you don't want to be. I ended up with a 71 as I recovered nicely from most of my bad shots. You have to get your approach shots close on this course if you want to score.

For some reason scout cam wasn't working on this course. Am I the only one? It would go half way or turn backwards when putting.

also have tried everything to get shot recording to work. Followed all of the instructions but still no luck. Any suggestions protee?

Scout cam was really bad on this course. Played many pitches blind because the camera moves agonizingly slow when you hold the up arrow key.

I had the same issue...Was horrible on this course. I read another post here from vincent_vega that said to go into settings and change the scout cam to landing area or something like that. Made it much better. Here is what he said in that post:

"It's definitely a bug. I'm starting to think it's only on certain courses. If I remember correctly, trying to move the camera just flips it around in to an even more disorienting view. Go in to your settings and change it from automatic to landing area. Only fix I know of at the moment. Even then, the camera goes way past the pin if you're in pitching, chipping or flop distance. I'll try and record a video of the automatic scout camera bug though so Protee can see what we're talking about."

Saw the same thing in my practice round last night. IT's like playing blind. I'll have to check the setting again. No issues at all on last weeks course.

Nice video, like hearing the way you talked through it and reasoned out the fade for that hole. I did try to play the draw (righty) and left it out to the right and beat you out and had an 81ft putt uphill 2 feet haha. Dont know how I got that first putt to a few feet, I usually never get the gimmie range with a putt that long. Managed to tie you the first round for my first tournament round back in a while. Got one of those rubber stretchy back braces and it is doing wonders so far.

Game was sucking for a while there but slowly getting it back. Almost choked the last hole to keep my under par round. Had a 40 yard pitch for my 3rd shot and hit it terrible and left it 38 ft short. A terrible nervous putt next that went 16ft past the hole and then luckily made the comebacker. Crazy seeing your scores lately. I said it before, if you got the wedge and short game down pat you were gonna be very tough to beat with that length and accuracy and looks like you are well on your way there. Great rounds youve had lately. Hope I can keep up with you guys the next 2 now

I've been working on putting different shots in my bag. At Christmas, I was ecstatic that I could finally draw and fade my mid irons. Then I saw on the golf channel that many pros prefer to fade their wedges. So after about an hour of practicing, I can now fade my irons all the way up to my 52... still can't fade a 56 or 60 though. My first round was good but I skulled two shots that left me scrambling. I also had a few short putts that I left hanging. I am hoping to get back into the 60's for the next rounds. Good luck in the tournament.

man you've been playing phenomenally lately... how in the world are you still a 1.2 I figured you'd be about a +3 at the least by now...

do you play professionally or as an amateur?? we ought to play live one night... playing against your ghost just doesnt do it justice... I've played with alot of long hitters but you annihilate it and are dead accurate...I need some tips!!!

I think that my handicap should have gone down..... ProTee? not too sure if we are still calculating the handicaps weekly.... mine has stayed the same over the past 2 or 3 weeks????? I really want to play live but I barely have time to sneak in a round here or there..... I hardly ever play for more than an hour at a time. @ Brett.....if you played against my recent ghost, you would take back that statement. I hit one of my drives so far off the fairway.....nobody would have questioned it if I used a rewind. That's how bad it was. I was trying to put a lot of left to right on the ball and I missed.... It was crazy that I had a par on that hole. One of the reasons that I have shown a lot of improvement is that I hit a lot of balls..... a lot. In the last 6 months ...over 18000 shots now. That's the secret.... I think. We'll see if I can keep it up. If I can get into the low 70's IRL, I will start entering local tournaments. But my basement game is far better than my real life game. I play 10 rounds at home for every real life round..... I really hope this latest improvement shows this spring IRL. Last winter I worked on my driver and approach shots. I was very happy when my Fir's IRL were very close to TGC. This winter I am working on my short game and shot shaping. Shot shaping wasn't really possible with my CX2 system. Now that I have a PX5 and received a little instruction.... I can shape my shots quite well. I had quick lesson from a local golf pro..... he put me on the right path for shot shaping...so right now I am not worried about the face..... trying to keep it square. If I make good contact with a path of 2-4 degrees, the ball will move nicely. I really can't wait to get to the range and try fading and draws off of real grass.

I definitely don't always hit straight... IRL, my drives are usually not an issue. I played 25-30 rounds this past year and I had two rounds where I was 14 for 14 Firs..... I also remember a couple at 5 or 6. I play most of my real life rounds with guys from my hockey team. I am the 3rd longest on the team. The longest hitter is 6'4" 235 pounds and goes into those long drive competitions.... the other guy is 150 pounds soaking wet and out drives me by 15 yards on average. When I first started in August 2015, I had a big slice. I used to aim right of the fairway and hope to stay on. I am quite anxious to get on a real course somewhere. Maybe in April I will head south for a few rounds near a beach.

Yes, I remember those strong fades of yours. Back then, I thought you were cutting them very hard. Your current ball flight is much better obviously. I play quite a bit every month, even winter months here is mostly above 15 degree C. (virtually no demand for home simulators here) But I have spend much less time training my strokes. After the IRL games and TGC tour, there is not much time left. Seeing your positive results makes me want to rebalance my time allocation a bit. Good luck on the tour.

I have a fibrebuilt mat..... It's easy on my arthritis and joints. But it might be too forgiving.... I am now practicing 30-40 shots a day while picking them clean....

Plus in the basement, I have those green lines on the green and a perfect lie every time. I first when I got the sim..... I tried to imagine how I would swing IRL if I was that far out ........ Now IRL..... I imagine how far up the screen should I hit this chip..... as$ backwards....I know.

Did anyone else have the system select a 3w off the tee box the entire round? Did I goof a setting up or are others experiencing this?

Mine shows up as a 5wood on every tee shot except one which is a 3wood. Very annoying. I just figured it was TGC telling me that my driver is poor and I should hit something else.

I'm with Gary. I thought it was just a suggestive hint because my driver STINKS right now :-). I'm to the point I'm going to take off my R2-D2 head cover and put Grumpy the Dwarf on, because it's been pretty Grumpy the last few weeks :-).
