  • Help with Camera Settings (pic included)

    Morning all,

I recently set my system up for the second time after completing a cross country move. Having issues with the H-Cam and am no expert when it comes to settings. I've tried messing around with it for about an hour but not getting better. Hoping to get a stronger flight line - any ideas?? Pics attached of settings and current flight line.

I am not an expert either, but I have been looking to get one and how to set it up. You may want to lower the FPS to 40 or perhaps even 30. Shutter speed looks to low. Gain could also go a bit higher.

This seemed to help out, thanks!

Tend to agree. Try reducing your fps first.

You're using the wrong lens. When you use the stock lens you will see a much bigger picture. Also the raster should be set to the lowest value in order to get a full white streak.

I am using the equipment that came with the system, although I did purchase second hand. I believe I can switch the custom video mode in screenshot 2 from 0 to 1 and it'll expand the picture to be much larger. I'll give that a shot tonight and see how it turns out.

Another question - it seems that every time I restart my computer, all my camera settings go back to default rather than keeping the changes I've made. I had been clicking file->save previously thinking I was saving the settings...but it seems it's only saving a screenshot of the camera view. What am I missing to ensure settings I've changed stay the same going forward?

The camera was probably used in a 640x480 resolution setup, therefor the "special" lens.
You can save the settings into camera memory: https://csc.protee-united.com/hc/en-...-or-disconnect

New camera type are available, much easier to set up and no having to save settings etc. The are remarkably better than the point grey cams.
