TGC 2019 Release

Ok, I don't want to be like the twitters out there asking every day when, when when...lol. But I was curious if there is any semi public (in this forum) communication that could be had about the potential release schedule for the simulator version of TGC.

I'm hoping things are on track for "a few months" as I think it was mentioned before.

Going to be amazing, going from TGC1 to 2019 on the simulator I think! The graphics are going to be great, physics, whatever cool stuff ProTee is going to add on top! Can't wait.

I agree! Information has slowed to a crawl on the HB Forums, too. Hopefully there will be more information soon from them and also from ProTee United regarding the simulator version. Exciting times ahead for us sim players - looking forward to seeing what you can do with it, StormGolf73 !

I am looking forward to the release - but I am thinking it will not be ready to 2019. I say March

Regrettably, I agree with you. Complex software projects are NOT easy. Six months is a fair timeline. Only wildcard will be how much work they may have gotten done already (I'm not sure how finished the beta was).

ProTee United or ProTee Dennis Is there a place we can follow any public announcements on timing of the Simulator release for 2019? Game is out today and just purchased! Will be wanting to play on simulator as soon as it's out of course

BTW, if you need any beta testers I'd be open. Helped with TGC1 and am a light developer myself so have a good mind for testing....

Really hoping that ProTee does not go radio silence this time.

I appreciate the fact that no one wants to put a projected date out there and then miss it. That type of stuff makes consumers incredibly angry.

Still, going completely dark is not the answer, either.

Hopefully, they can come up with a happy medium.

Interesting development today... HB Studios announced that 2k Sports is taking over The Golf Club 2019. Not sure what that means for the sim, but it is certainly a more complex situation now, so it feels like any hopes of a sim version just got pushed back even further. ProTee would need to now negotiate and work with 2K.

Thats good news! I don't need a date, just knowing they are moving forward is enough. HB hit August, but some people thought that meant Aug 02! geez....they got so much flak on twitter for no reason. I bet HB was sweating bullets if they literally just found out they could pull the trigger last night! lol.

And the really funny part is the game itself is receiving almost unanimous praise from everyone who has played it so far. When did people become so demanding and entitled! I'm dying to get home to download it myself

Played it last night... The game is legit! It looks amazing in 4K resolution. I'm even more excited for the Sim version now.

Played it last night, character creator is amazing! Just about got my self to the T my wife said Heck I played in there for 20-30 mins before even getting the bag out to hit balls! lol. Once I did go to play a round, I tried the match maker and the first time no-one was there, but the second and third time It matched me right up, we played 9 holes seamlessly and it was amazing!

It's a small thing but you can fast forward your shots (something I had asked about way back in 1 and was shot down for sure on) but they've come to realize the quicker a match can be played (if the players choose to use the feature) the quicker you can get a round in!!!

The courses it put us on were the TPC ones, they were absolutely amazing! I'm going to pull all my courses from 1 that never made it to 2 and get those into 2019!

Truly can't wait (but certainly will) until the sim version comes out, we are all going to be druling going from v1 -> 2019!!! lol.

I couldn't agree more about the player creator. Fairly simple and yet I got really close per my wife. I've done this in other games and she usually says the likeness is barely passable. They did come up short on hair and facial hair styles and lengths, so that the one thing I couldn't quite duplicate, but fantastic overall. I haven't tried the player match yet as no one was in the lobby when I jumped in there yesterday, but I will give that a go tonight. I'm very impressed so far. Much to build on for the sim version!

I'm confused about who does what software wise.

HB Studios (Now 2k Games?) Makes "The Golf Club" game.
Skytrak and ProTee make launch monitors.
Who is making the simulator version of "The Golf Club 2019"?
Is it HB, or ProTee?
When/if the simulator version arrives can I expect it to work with both ProTee and Skytrak monitors?
