With the release of Win 10 today, I have to ask: Any issues with ProTee?

I have to ask, will anybody "upgrade" to Windows 10 at all? This is a non-issue. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Why would you change if your current OS works???

For one, it's free, so the price is right. The interface and security features are better than Win 8.1 (which is my current OS), and it fixes some annoying bugs like one that causes Win 8.1 to drop USB controllers at random. Win 10 will also have DX12, which is the future of gaming graphics.

I assume ProTee software and hardware works fine, but just want to confirm with anyone who has already made the switch.

I'm using win7 on my sim machine and not planning on upgrading, but my other machine has 8.1 and upgraded right away.

Windows 10 has a rollback feature. You can downgrade within a month back to 7 or 8.1 (whichever you started with).
Try it - if it doesn't work... rollback!

Don't like Windows 10? As long as you've upgraded within the last month, you can uninstall Windows 10 and downgrade your PC back to its original Windows 7 or Windows 8.

I tried to upgrade to windows 10 and got it to load on my laptop and it flashed nonstop. I had to reboot in safe mode and went back to windows 8.1.

I haven't upgraded on my sim PC yet, but I did on a laptop. I have to say that I really like Win 10. It seems a bit snappier than 8.1, and the interface is visually pleasing.

I gave the upgrade a try today. Sensor mat works fine, but I couldn't get the vcam to work (needs updated driver). I tried the latest Win 8 driver from Point Grey, but that didn't seem to work. I lost patience and rolled back to Win 8.1 with no issues (just needed to reinstall the earlier camera driver). I think once PG supply a Win 10 driver, all will be good.

                    Mark,

We migrated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and did not have any issue with the camera drivers. We are using the old driver that we ship with our systems which can also be downloaded from the online documentation. Its very important that you install the 32 bit driver with every Windows version. The 64 bit drivers will not work. Also important when installing the driver to check the Register DirectShow DLL's during the installation process. Thanks. I had tried installing the latest driver from the PG website. I thought it was the right one, but I guess not. I'll retry with the driver on your site.

I upgraded my Sim PC to Windows 10 midweek, and have been using TGC on it most of the afternoon without any issues.

No issues for me now either once I used the recommended camera driver. I did have an issue with the camera frequently losing connection to the PC; however, my guess is that was related to the motherboard or the cable and not Win 10. Once I eliminated the USB extension cable in my setup (by moving the PC to the left side of the stance mat near the camera) I haven't had any issues.
