  • Driver not registering

    Hi Guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble with my driver lately, about 1 in 3 swings it doesn't register at all, when it does though it reads fine, also I'm only having this problem with the driver. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

    Thanks,

Usually the shot not going off is caused by the waggle before the swing. You need to be sure to hold the club still for a couple seconds after waggling before starting your swing. That's the most common cause of a shot not launching that I've seen.

Try replacing the overhead light bulbs.

Ok thanks, I'll give both a try. And of course it always seems to not read when I know I've hit a good one. Lol..

Richard, you are 100% correct, if I waggled over the back strip and then swing no read out, but if I kept my waggle small between the center strip and the back strip voila the shot registers. Thanks so much this was driving me crazy! lol..

Protee, I did order 2 lights as well I assume they are the same lights that the unit came with, and fit in the black metal canisters?

Cklguy2013 yes the bulbs will fit the black metal canisters.

My brother and I played for the first time with my new protee tonight. We had this issue a lot and of course it seemed to always be when we killed it. So, there is nothing else we can do but not waggle? It is not good to have to change our swing routine to play this. I have new light bulbs and everything else registries fine.

I wrote an email to ProTee support who has been great. They suggested I set the swing timeout in the protee interface settings to 99. They said this wont be necessary next release. I havent had time to test it yet but will post the results when I have.

FYI, as a follow up, ProTee supports suggestion worked great, I could waggle to my hearts content and it was fine.

Where did you find "swing timeout"?

it is in the main settings screen in the pro tee interface. Swing timeout after in the lower left hand corner. Slide it all the way to the right which will be 99. Save exit restart.

Is it the one titled "Ready for next shot after:" mine is currently set to 4 seconds

No, it is swing timeout in lower left hand corner. It is a slider, not a text box.
