  • Protee - Ball Path

    Hey guys,

    Is the ball path number in the middle of the screen based on the H-Cam or is it based on the calculation of the face (85%) and path (15%) in the box on the right?

    Thx

    Is this a ProTee or TGC question?

        Probably should ask ProTee Support for the definitive answer, but I believe it is the direction sensed by the Horizontal camera. If you think about it, otherwise there would be no use for the Horizontal camera. Since the HCam is optional, when it is used, it's use is to detect the actual flight path.

          I would agree aja, I believe the information would be from the H-Cam as well, but waiting for confirmation of that.

            That 85/15% things is disabled by default.
            Hit shots in the main interface screen. When it says: Captured ball path then its captured and used, otherwise it says Calculated ball path.

              Ok thanks, and assuming curvature is calculated based on the difference between path and face, and loft?

                And gear effect if that is turned on.

                  Gear effect is an interesting point. Is there a way to move the center of contact reading one way or the other? For example a center hit with my hybrid reads as off center, and second how and where do you turn gear effect on and how much?

                    # Gear_effect_factor:
                    # The gear_effect happens when the ball is hit far from the sweetspot. when -1 gear_effect will be used
                    # Default:-2
                    Gear_effect_factor=-2

                    # Gear_factor_correction:
                    # Correction on sidespin (%). value is percentage that will be taken off
                    # Value: between 0 and 100
                    # Default:0
                    Gear_factor_correction=0

                    These are in the Alt-E settings. What you see is the default settings with gear factor off. I change mine to (-1) or ON. The correction percentage I do not change.

                    Adjusting sweetspot for various clubs is in Alt-e also. Unfortunately there is no Hybrid category. Only irons ,woods wedges driver. If you adjust for the hybrid as iron, then your irons would be off. Adjustments are -5 to 5. This is not mm or cm. just a range. Where yours should be I do not know. I am not good enough to hit consistently so I have not changed mine in ALT-E.
                    For Example.

                    # SS_Iron:
                    # Correction on triggered sensor for SweetSpot calculation for Irons
                    # Values: between -5 and 5
                    # Default=0
                    SS_Iron=0

                    Before messing with these make sure you have a backup of your settings. I also recommend only making one change at a time. I learned the hard way .

                      Thank you, your post is very helpful. My gear effect is currently at -2 so I'm assuming off, and I'm also assuming gear effect only impacts the driver and woods?

                      With regards to the hybrid, I usually use "5 wood" so I think I'd be ok adjusting the SS on woods only, as I only have the one hybrid and 4 wood.
